This was a good game for JSU and most definitely their next few opponents to see their weakness. There DT's were punched in the mouth this game. If Alabama A&M had a better offense this is the 1st game I felt that JSU could lose. The offense was not very efficient and their route combinations were horrible. They revamped their O-line but it wasn't able to protect or run block. It actually looked like A&M had bigger stronger players on both sides of the ball. This definitely showed that JSU is not ready for a power 5 this year but with the new recruits on the line they should be more impressive next year. Miller time recovered a fumble but you didn't hear his name as much this game. Hecwas being blocked by heavy weights that the D-line couldn't keep off of him. Travis was spectacular but truly the one bright star, Mr. Hooks was okay as well but with no crossing routes, no digs, no post routes, the offense looked anemic.......IMHO. Winning was great but the assessment should be greater after this game.
I agree with you completely. This was the last 2 SWAC champions and they played like it. A&M def ain't play to their potential this year but they stepped up this game. if you Google the game Google has A&M winning.
I think I know why. JSU was suppose to be at home but they were on the road so the scores was automated updated when the away/home team scored!

Travis Hunter made several great blocks on some breakout runs, and returns.
Deion Sanders and Jackson State have done a great job of taking advantage of an opportunity that has been presented to them. Jackson State has secured hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars for their university and conference from corporate sponsors and positive publicity as a result of Coach Prime's success and notoriety. That can not be taken from them, even if Coach Prime leaves at the end of this season.
Great game both teams played well.

@@cedricrogers6667 Yeah sure..... The refs had a lot to do with the 3 special team turnovers, and the sloppy play. Prime wouldn't dare say the refs had anything to do with that mess. Its called Accountability. Being accountable for the way you play... Not blaming the referees.

Honestly, I hope Hunter goes WR in the NFL cuz his reads against a defense are so nice! BUT that being said… he’s a rare 2-way talent and it would be sick af to see him play both ways at the pro level. So… we’ll see what happens.

He was fussing because he said they should be up by much more. So yes it's a win and I'm happy for them but coach gone get em in that locker room with one helluva speech

So, JSU is undefeated at 9-0 but are only ranked #9 in the league? I wonder if all the teams ranked ahead of them are also undefeated....
No. They just play much better teams. Hawaii went undefeated during the regular season in division IA in 2007 which is one tier above this and because they played in the WAC they only got up to about #10 and when they finally played a great team (Georgia) they got absolutely annihilated. Deion is doing great things for the SWAC and Jackson State but it's the SWAC not the SEC. With the recruits he's getting this team should go undefeated every year in the SWAC because no other IAA program gets 4 and 5 star recruits although some get a good amount of 3 stars. The top conferences in IAA/FCS are the Missouri Valley, Big Sky, and the CAA. The SWAC was all the way down to the #10 best conference last time I checked. Jackson State is good but the SWAC is pretty awful.
