    I was a big dale sr fan. Dale died doing what he loved to do.which was race. To blame sterling or rusty or anyone else for the fact that when you hit a wall 190 plus miles an hour your body can't absorb that much impact without brain damage. softer walls, new cars, and the hans device have prevented more deaths, as well as the drivers dont race each other like dale used to race.

      I was a fan of the 3 before he drove the 3 -
      He should not have let his friendship influence his choice as a driver but - at that point he was 10'tall and bulletproof - He should have gotten out of the way -
      look at all the people adversely affected - especially Richard Childress - it wasn't fair to Richard for him to own 2 other cars - The car team for his son was borderline conflict of his team's interest -
      He didn't have his will in order either - that was plain stupid -
      He put Teresa in an almost impossible situation , the same can be said for Jr - They both struggled mightily -
      How much $$ do you think his dumb shit cost not only Richard but the whole Goodwrench team ?
      Jeff Gordon was the beginning of the end of NASCAR as I knew it -
      Dale fast forwarded it by 300mph -
      NASCAR gave him the daytona win - they gave him a direct radio channel to Old man France - they did everything possible except protect him from himself

    My racing hero . Sterling Marlin introduced me to stock car racing .I sat in my living room and watched A hometown boy win th Daytona 500 !I then proceeded to follow him to Daytona and personally watched him win 4more races . None were more spectacular than my Pearch in turn 3 of the 1995 Daytona 500 1995!!!GOD BLESS Sterling!

    Sterling is a true Gentleman.. Dude had class in the WC days, He definitely belonged apart of the group. I never even thought an ounce of aggression towards Sterling when Dale died. It’s truly one of them racin deals & Dale would be the one to tell ya first.

      @parkerbeard6170 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I heard and knew this guy got a ton of death threats for the accident. It was not Marlin's fault, it was just an unfortunate horrific accident

    He will always be my favorite driver. I live near the Richmond track and watched him race a few times. Coolest part was when I got pit passes one year and saw him up close when he was in the Busch pits. If you haven't been to Richmond the Busch now Xfinity pits are open and you can walk by and see drivers owners crew chiefs etc all just standing around hanging out.

      I went down to Indy way back when during practice for the 500. Saw A.J. Foyet with nothing but the frame of his race car setting on ( I swear some 2X4 saw horses ) revving the engine up to at least 8 to 10 grand rpm. Each time he would rev it the entire chasse would torque to one side. There were about 50 people looking in to his garage and I was right up front. I couldn't help but think if that chasse falls off those saw horses during a rev its not going to stop until it has gone through the grandstands

    I'm a Dale Earnhardt fan and I didn't think Sterling didn't do anything wrong. Marlin had the fastest car that race and Dale blocked him for 10+ laps then spun himself out.

    Poor sterling he's always getting bashed by Earnhardt fans saying "oh he killed dale" when dale tried to block him, got loose, came back up and hit the wall so shut up with that crap ps what's sterling Marlins real name because there's no way his real name is "Sterling".

    • @rockstone5313
      @rockstone5313 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      his name is sterling marlin . his dad Clifton burton marlin ( coo coo)and his sterling son was name after a ball couch sterling like Steadman and Steadman's middle name is same as coo coos burton. I lived and worked on coo coos farm about the time sterling and Paula his wife were married and me and my wife use to keep Steadman and baby sit him a few times when sterling and Paula would go out .never a dull moment back then on the marlin farm lol. coo coo had a bunch of real characters as friends and drinking buddies lol. I could write a book on all the funny stuff that went on there. coo coo got that name I was told by doing anything on a dare. he went dared would take a spark plug wire off one of the race cars while it was running and hold the end of the wire about a inch from his tongue and let the spark shock him ! once while off eating lunch about a mile up the road I heard a very loud explosion that shook my house . when I got back to the shop I found sterling , big john, Kenneth and randy all of who were on sterling pit crew were taking 5 gallon paint thinner cans that were already full of highly flammable fumes and then lighting a cutting torch adjusting the flame then smothering the flame out and sticking the end of the torch in the paint thinner can. they would fill the can up with the explorable gas then sit it out in back of the shop and took a 100 ft extension cord cut the end off with the receptacle twisted the 2 wires together and stuck that end in the 5 gallon can full of gas and paint thinner fumes and would shut the shop door and plug the other end of the cord into a socket ! the can would go off like a whole case of dynamite llmao I could tell you hundreds of crazy things I seen happen there like I said never a dull moment ever .

      Not to mention Dale refused to wear the Hans device which would have likely saved his life. I feel bad for Sterling. The crash had to have been hard on him, i'm sure he felt that it was his fault at times but it really wasn't.

      Ruprecht , stop being a troll. I was a big Earnhardt fan and he was the reason I become a Nascar fan. Sterling Marlin is not responsible for his death. This race is the only time Earnhardt did not try to win a race himself. Unfortunately, his decision to forfeit his chance to challenge for the lead and block for his two drivers cost him his life.

      being that close in a pack the air does some funny things i believe he was just for the ride the head on hit and side impact and seemed like a regular 4 or 5 belt and no HANS Sr was ready Talladega should of killed him that grim reaper wreck sometimes lower speeds will do it and he had neck problems after Talladega he had parts of bone in his neck disks

    Let's be honest here he was getting mad and had been blocked several times at the very END of the race and could have had a 4 spot but got mad and didn't want a 1.2.3 race and did what he done then ended up I think in 6th or 7th at the end of the day Pride got him and God got Dale PIEIOD.....
    so complain if you want I've been seen every video and every playback and every movie made this is facts.....
