They eat a lot of fish, rice" seaweed, and lots of other things. So they get just about the right amount of protein while having fruits and veggies. I personally have not tried Japanese food but almost all of it sounds absolute delicious and most Japanese food I've heard of matches my favorite flavors and aromas and textures I really want to try it but there aren't many chances for me and people who live around me unless you enjoy being in a car for 2 hours straight or if you order it it's super expensive because the nearest restaurant that is similar is Chinese food mainly soups Edit the restaurant is almost a two hour drive to get there
I have never seen anyone speak bad of Japanese cuisine, mainly because anime exists. And because of that Japanese food are really popular and favored, so idk about that.
