The original Blizzard Buffalo might've lost to Frost Walrus in that manga, but I think the outcome would be different if Frost Walrus faced V2.1 Blizzard Buffalo. Or at leas Walrus wouldn't get out of it again quite so unscathed.
(They were selling that manga on ebay, it's the one where Zero took off his helmet and revealed his full head of hair on the back cover). Apparently this was to explain why the shell of Buffalo was in the background at the beginning of Frost Walrus' stage in X4.
