Pep, Go big or go home. Go for the Explore 7 option. You will have to exhaust both characters, but with 4 re-rolls, you should be able to roll a 3 and then a 5. Flavor Text: "I want you to conjure up something big," says Andrea, "Maybe even a pile of gold and jewels." Mr. Toad disagrees, "What we need is large house with an indoor swimming pool." Andrea responds, "Who would want a house down here in the dark deep?" The conjurer interrupts, "To stop this fighting, let me see what I can conjure for you fine folk."
+David Tye And don't forget to have the magician flip them their payment for helping impress his audience, a shiny gold coin. (Given to them because of the building that gives them a coin for exploring.)
I'd say, ignore the explore 3. You could get that in your sleep. Without re-rolls if you were lucky. Explore 5 is a little more chancy if you want to avoid injuring anyone in the process. Pep has a potion to mitigate some of that, but 7 is entirely obtainable. You'd have to roll high or roll into high results for both, and injure them both to get it to stick. It's only a 3 and a 5, and it's equal to or better than. Go with the 7. Life is short. Game Big, Pep. The conjurer waits expectantly when Mr. Turtle pipes up, "I like fish, can you do fish?" Andrea sighs and shoots him a sidelong glance, "We can get fish anywhere. Go for something bigger." Mr. Turtle blushes a little brown and shuffles his feet, deep in thought, "A... big fish?" The conjurer shrugs, "I can do fish..." Andrea interrupts, "Can you make cider? I'm not saying that it's a valued commodity in our community, but..." The rabbit, who can apparently talk, interjected, "He doesn't do cider after the Appleton incident." Mr. Turtle exclaims and points, "A talking rabbit! Holy Smokes!" Everyone else shares a questioning look at the talking frog man. Andrea crosses her arms and puts her foot down, "We'll take... whatever the hardest thing you can conjure is."
This game is quite crazy, but looks like a lot of fun. I already added it on the to-buy list several months ago, but now I've seen your playthroughs, so I'm really impressed!! :D Nice job guys
Andrea, still perplexed by the rabbit working on the wagon, says, "I'm a little leery about this guy. I say we go for something easy so we don't get hurt." To which Mr. Turtle replies, "No way! He's the real deal! My eyes are specially trained to watch flies in the air so I can catch them for lunch. Even *I* didn't see where he got those flowers from! We'll take one order of 'something downright challenging', please!"
I would say go for the explore 7. You have enough rerolls and exhausting the characters is fine as you have enough characters and not enough beds for all of them. Given next turn is the final turn, it won't be a negative.
It would make sense to explore 7 because even if you have to exert andrea or uncle turtle that wouldn't be the end of the world because you don't have enough beds or any cider this turn. This could give you time next turn to get more beds if they end up exerting themselves.
Can a player harvest more than ONE of the replenishing fruit tokens in a single turn? (Multiple identical fruit harvesr actions before the turn token moves down) The rules book contradicts itself when talking about this specific card. (Arrow with fruit)
Hey Rodney, I know you aren't a reviewer per-say, more of an educator, but what are your thoughts on this game? It looks like fun, but it also seems maybe overly complicated for some of my friends. What's your thoughts on the complexity vs fun factor?
+David Tucker Hey David, that really does fall into a reviewer/opinion area that I don't feel comfortable getting into. I think it's too hard to say for someone else what they will find complex or fun, so I just avoid those aspects in my online sharing. That said, you might find some of those answers in reviewer videos. Sorry I couldn't be much help!

Just when you thought there might not be a winning Pep joke, at 9:30 he slayed me. LOL!!

+Steve Pruneau Thanks for joining us on the crazy adventure Steve :)

+Connor Weismandel Funny that you call him Uncle Turtle instead of Mr. Turtle, because I actually have an uncle that we call Uncle Turtle.
I imagine master prestidigitator's robe as being covered with variously shaped 7s.
I love that the cat character may or may not do what you want it to 😂 So realistic! Great design 😂
That was a fun touch wasn't it? :)
Past Rodney: Cats are a nuisance...
Present day Elvis: 😿
He won me over. Mostly.
CONJURE SOMETHING HARD
CURIOSITYS A CALLEN
Is the use of a cider barrel restricted to only the beginning of a turn? And is it's usage considered an action?
Cider is used at the end of a round. You'll find this detailed in our tutorial video: th-cam.com/video/6wNaS1HxA-Q/w-d-xo.html
Go for the big one
you have some strange dice, 1. rolls always 5, second 6 :)
+benediktcz I hadn't notice, but if so, I need to use these in other games!
+Watch It Played ok i am exaggerating, but not by much :)
I vote for difficult since Pep has all those rerolls. conjure away Pep!
go for 7 and enter both your characters
Explore 7. It what a master prestidigitator would want. Anything less would be an insult.

You can harvest any available tokens.
@@WatchItPlayed yes, but do those tokens replenish immediately after harvesting or after the end of that round?
They are replenished at the end of the round.

+Watch It Played I totally understand. Thanks for replying!
+David Tucker My pleasure David!
Was I the only one who cringed when Pep started banging the cardboard chit (rope) against the table?
You should see him roll dice (I'm constantly chasing dice across the floor!)
+Watch It Played Well, at least it's good that dice aren't made of paper :)

explore 7
who we kidding here.
so, it seems that you guys just harvested whenever you wanted to, I thought it was only as an action.
Yep, it is an action - did you have a time stamp where we harvested without using an action?
