    The big thing in meditation to me is realizing you are not your thoughts but the one who watches them.

    Got an extreme OBE first time I did Vipassana. What Tom is saying it true 100%. Prana is to breathe with awareness.

    • @manishpandey3729
      @manishpandey3729 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Maybe, but not exactly. Breathing is a process, half in body and half in mind. Whereas the word Prana refers to that part of Cosmic Energy (Kundalini), that is active in a particular entity (humans, animals, gods and all).... Vipassana is to focus your Attention on the process of breathing, and it results in increased attention, and decreased physical and mental activity, thereby leading to OBE.

      @@manishpandey3729 Would you agree that mentioned prana is the life force that powers the organic matter so it can thrive ? In other words factor that allows the experience. Regarding Vipassana, I would rather call it the practice of awareness where attention is a tool. Tool that somewhere in the process you leave behind as it doesn't serve more purpose. For me it was not Out of Body Experience but rather NO Body and NO Mind.

      @@chatamistyka441 Would you agree that mentioned prana is the life force that powers the organic matter so it can thrive ? In other words factor that allows the experience.
      - yes this is what i said, just in different words.
      Regarding Vipassana, I would rather call it the practice of awareness where attention is a tool. Tool that somewhere in the process you leave behind as it doesn't serve more purpose.
      - yes, it can become practice of awareness.... just one thing to clarify, difference between attention/meditation and awareness. Attention is always foccused on the experience/observation. When the knowledge/remembrance of the experiencer/observer (Shiva/Bramh/Bramhan) is included in attention, that attention is called awareness/consciousness. so attention/meditation can be devoid of awareness (observer is not taken into account), but awareness (attention including the observer) is never devoid of attention. This observer/experiencer can not be experienced or observed, as he is the one who is observing, but the knowledge of his presence can be included in meditation, and then it becomes awareness, or consciousness.
      For me it was not Out of Body Experience but rather NO Body and NO Mind - This is what Tom calls Zero Point or Point consciousness. Stabilise this stage, and then you can use it as a launchpad for astral projection, remote viewing and all such things. I have never had this experience, but i am close.

    Thank you for sharing about starting in the feeling space and clarifying that visualization is a lot more difficult! That you personally continue to stay in the feeling space gives me confidence that I can do this. The suggestion to talk to someone remotely seems more doable than noticing your thoughts and letting them flow like leaves on a river. Not a successful strategy for me, at least not yet.
    Your description of what meditation is like makes me want to go outside and sit on Mother Earth under a tree or hike while meditating. Being in nature is where my consciousness naturally opens up. Strong, positive feelings like gratitude and joy open up and the chatter in my mind isn’t a problem. We were like that in childhood, living in the here and now.

    To find the truth that lies within,
    We must first quiet all the din,
    And turn our focus deep inside,
    Where peace and wisdom do reside.
    Meditation is the tool we use,
    To quiet down the mental fuse,
    And find the stillness in our heart,
    Where inner peace can truly start.
    But it takes perseverance too,
    To master this art that's not so new,
    For in the stillness of the mind,
    Our fears and doubts are hard to find.
    So let us persevere each day,
    And meditate in our own way,
    With patience, love, and open heart,
    We'll find the peace that we impart.
    And as we journey on this path,
    We'll find our strength and inner wrath,
    And in the stillness of our soul,
    We'll find the truth that makes us whole.
    So let us meditate each day,
    And persevere along the way,
    For in this journey of the heart,
    We find the love that sets us apart.

    Yes, technique (there are many) is quite secondary. One needs to relax...be in the moment...so attention to breathing can help as breath is a handle on emotion. Concentration prior to meditation happens is useful... When the internal chatter happens one ca bring focus back to the breath...or just witness the thoughts as passing happenings...
    Really, sitting meditation is aware listening...feeling... one can get there walking, sitting, or knitting😂...

    2 things. One, when i was a kid sometimes i would sit and just think about the fact that i was alive. i would just experience breathing and seeing and feeling and just living in my skin, and it would give me this odd feeling of joy that would make me giggle uncontrollably. i wonder if i was touching on a meditative state. Also last night i was attempting to meditate, and after awhile i started getting these flashes like of a room with people in it and there was some kind of problem, it was only bits and pieces and ive only held onto the mood of the room, but i wonder if that was flashes of remote viewing. sorry for the long sentence. It seems this phenomenon often occurs naturally for people who are very close and have a feeling something is wrong with their loved one, like twins often do

      Like entangled particles in Quantum Mechanics, but that effect is different than Meditation, meditation is personal.

    • @lureup9973
      @lureup9973 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@manishpandey3729 but perhaps fundamentally what is at work during a meditative/ intuitive state is the oneness of big C consciousness and our connection to it. I am a person who typically operates from the mind often thinking my way through everything....recently I have been putting forth the objective of feeling my way, I’ve found this to be a great way of practicing presence , and intuitiveness ...i love this topic, because it’s a lot like treasure hunting! With our own expansion of consciousness we are on the greatest treasure hunt ever!... the possibilities are literally endless!

    • @manishpandey3729
      @manishpandey3729 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lureup9973 Totally agree with what you said, and that is what i was trying to point out. Entangled particles behave that way, just like twins, because of the cosmic entanglement already in place. Same with mother/father and their children. Meditation gets you entangled with the whole, with eternity and entireity, so it is more profound.... unlike particular entanglements as in case of twins and parents and children. My best wishes for your progress, our progress. You are totally correct, our emotions are way more intuitive than our minds, it has to be. All big animals mostly operate out of emotions, and if emotions are not very very intuitive, most of them wont survive as they lack the data used by the mind, but they do survive based on emotional intuition. LCS had to give emotions this power of intuition. One more thing, these are three different layers, layer of emotions (anahat chakra), layer of thoughts and thinking we call mind (visshuddha chakra) and above that we have the layer of Attention/Focus (Ajna Chakra). By proper meaning of meditation, we mean increasing the activity of this higher layer of Attention to its optimum level, and this too opens up our intuition, but at a cosmic level, unlike emotional intuition that is kind of local. So Emotions (Intuitive), Mind (Intellectual), Attention (Intuitive). So giving up intellectual process of mind and resorting to emotional intuition will be easy and will feel good, but you are going a step down. You have to give up intellect and move back to calmness of Intuition, by activating/engaging/exercising the higher layer of Attention/Focus, and thhis exercise is meditation. Search google for "Yoga Chakra" and take a look, you will understand better. Once again thank you for your reply and understanding and my best wishes. We are all here to help each other in our journey and progress. PS: I am making a video related to this chakra system. Its rendering as of now. Will give link once its uploaded.

    OBE and remote viewing seemed to come natural to Robert Monroe and Ingo Swann.
    I wonder how long it takes for a non-natural to arrive at the same ability.
    My experience seems to be hit or miss.
    After I hit, it becomes hard to repeat because I think too much.
    My mind becomes excited whereby the left side, Broca and Wernicke areas won't turn off.
