He didn't ignore. He took it very seriously, both personally and organisatorally in the church. He reorganised the procedures, made legal processes more efficient, made sure that top level of the church took responsibility for investigations being conducted and followed up, he changed ecclesial laws so that clerical perpetrators, in addition to sivil punishment, could be defrocked for life, and made sure that many were. Among many other things. It is very much because of him that so many cases, also old ones have become known the last 20 years, because of his focus on combating this "filth" in the midst of the church, as he put it. He wasn't satisfied, and shouldn't be, that enough had been done, preceisely because enough is only when cases of abuse come to an end. But to say he ignored it is blatantly untrue.
Benedicts greatness was undervalued during his time, but his greatness will be remembered by the truly faithful who truly knew what he was. A great man, may our Lord keep him at his side in paradise 🙏🏼✝️

God gave us Benedict to show us that we must defend the doctrine, liturgy, and traditions of Holy Scripture in our modern world and defend the church from moral relativism. Wisdom, Reason, Faith are all Graces of God and we don't define it; it is instructed in🎉 Holy Scripture, so therefore we defend the Truth. Too much secularism, humanism, and liberal interpretation of watered down scripture is destroying our liturgical traditions at the expense of compromising our attitudes about what is acceptable morality. Pray for our church, our priests, laity, and for social justice obeying God's laws.

Pope Benedict XVI said the Latin Tridentine Mass and that's what I grew up with and knew it was very Holy and then it was changed in my local church to the Novus Ordo. My Mom and I knew something was very wrong and we stopped going to the local church. Later on I found out about Archbishop Marcel LeFebvre and that priests were again saying the LTM and I started going to mass with the SSPX.
