the board have been revived, they selling them again meaning the value is back, if you do sell it its a good time, the demand for mixers went up, people tired of digital sterile sound coming out the daw but this the best mixer to have at the price point. it sounds good and the functionality is unmatched by boards twice as expensive. its a perfect balance between quality and functions/ price.
So i can record on channel 1 a drum beat for example..... and then record in channel 2 while i am hearing the drum beat i pre recorded on channel 1 ?????......... And then i can record the final mix to a usb drive...????
I never tried to use it that way but i don't think it works like that. I use the mpc so my drums and stuff are already made out before I hit record and i just record everything at once if I use the usb recorder on the x32. If your trying to use the x32 in standalone that way i recommend getting the x32 live card expansion for the x32. Otherwise you would have to use the x32 as a audio interface through its usb cord and record that way in a daw. I don't use the usb recorder unless im processing drums because it only records in 16bit but if you get that soundcard expansion for the x32 it records to SD cards at 24bit with a little more recording control. I just use it as a usb interface and record everything in a daw because you get the full use of everything at once at the highest quality. 24bit 48k through x32 usb cord to mac as an audio interface. so I just use it with a daw, way more functional.
i'll do an experiment today and make a video for next week, I gotta see if it will record like a daw, i don't think it does but I'm not sure. When I found out it only did 16bit recording on the usb I stopped looking at it as an option since I use 24bit or 32bit recording devices/daws. rarely do I use 16 bit unless I'm processing some drums for a pack or something but the x32 still not my first pick for that.
You Know Im rinding With Ya All The way!!!!
very good job of explaining I use the x32 in my home studio for all of those very reasons.
I started to sell my board. This makes me want to keep it
