Custom 4th Gen Trans Am Tail LIghts Rebuild

- I rebuilt the brake portion of my LED tail lights. I couple of the bars were crooked in my original video since they were all separate. I've now combined them into a single panel and prebent the prototype board for a nice even curve. There are 300 LEDs for the brake portion alone in each light. I've just started my version 2 that will be a little different and more refined looking. I hope to be done by the end of summer or early fall.
Gotta be the coolest tail lights ever!
Thanks
Those are the sickest taillights ever by far
Thanks. Hopefully my next version will look as good.
What's the cost in a build like that....I have a 4th gen trans am
@@nicholasmartinez749 just in parts alone is roughly $700. That doesn't include the cost of the donor tail lights.
Well... love the content and great work..hope to get mine as nice one day..lol
Jason Firebird what tail lights u use
Gorgeous lights
Another loveable idea if no one can Jason can !😉
Haha, thanks
You're doing a great job! 😃
Thanks
These should of been a factory option for sure. I would love to grab a set if you ever decide to make or sell a pair.
You do great work Jason. How does someone contact you if they want you to build the taillights like yours?
Thanks. I don't sell any tail lights though. Just my knight rider lights. Everything else I've made either takes way too long to build or the parts are too expensive to be worth selling.
@@1999TransAmWS6 you should start a company. I am pretty sure that many people would like to have the amazing things that you build (me included).
@@Ray-Zah There's not enough demand for parts. I'm friends with the owners of 6LEDesigns and 4thGenCustoms. Both of them shut down last year. Dealing with customer scams, returns, unrealistic expectations, etc....no way I'm going down that path. I have a small eBay store on the side (non car related stuff) and it's a pain dealing with people.
MY HERO HAS DONE IT AGAIN. GORGEOUS. I'd give you $1000 for them.
Thanks. Parts alone cost over $800 though.
@@1999TransAmWS6 Yikes...... Still, so very much worth it.
That's so cool.
Where did you get the LEDS? Curious to see how you connected them to existing wiring. Great Job!
They're 5mm piranha LEDs off eBay. Super bright. Wiring was challenging because one wire feeds both the brake and turn signals at the rear of f-body cars. I had to tap into the turn signal switch in the steering column to separate them.
coolest lights
Beautiful
That's cool Jason. I always get creative ideas from you. It's funny I watched a video of a car show where that chick was interviewing you. Before it even showed you I was like ooh that's Jason's firebird lol I live in fostoria Ohio. Didn't know there was a trans am nationals in dayton. Maybe I'll go next year and show off my hellbird. If you got a facebook I can send you pictures of my Hellbird.
Haha, yeah I really didn't want to do that interview video. The model he uses knows absolutely nothing about cars so she asks lame questions like "how fast does it go". lol. It's a shame trans am nationals was cancelled this year. I'll definitely be there next year. You should come. On facebook I have the same name, Jason Firebird. Shoot me a friend request so I can see your bird.
@@1999TransAmWS6 yea bro lol you can tell she was going nuts over it. But ya I'll send you one.
What did you use for circuit boards and are those diodes or capacitor wired between. Thanks for any reply!
They're just basic prototype boards. They are resistors.
That is just Awesome attention to detail, I would have lit up the Bird Decal also, Where did u get that Rear diffuser, that would look nice on my 98 TransAm.
Actually my rear bird does light up. I have a different video on it. The rear diffuser is from Maggperformance.com
Love it!
Awesome job man. Oh and who the fuck disliked your video?! Haters gotta love em
Haha yeah it's impossible to have a video without any thumbs down. There's always haters.
🔥🔥🔥
do you still make and sell the chasers for out ws6 hoods??? very interested in obtaining a set. those taillights are insane!!!! love your work keep it up.
Yeah I still make the hood scoop led Knight Rider lights. You can email me at fitnesstrainer76@aol.com
@@1999TransAmWS6 DO YOU STILL MAKE THESE I NEED SOME
@@bigred6834 It was only for my car. I don't sell them.
What are you using for lenses?
They are just the blackout covers
@@1999TransAmWS6 Sick! I’m making some of my own and I’m using the blackout covers as well
@@1999TransAmWS6 How did you end up sealing them?
@@tyleredmonds5604 I tried making a really thick gasket with silicone but the blackout covers fit so bad, water was still able to get in. I ended up using a little silicone between the lense and tail lights then running the silicone around the edge especially around the top and sides. It really wasn't possible to run it around the bottom so it's not a 100% shield. On the bottom I installed some mini PC fans that run so if moisture gets inside the fans push it outside. I don't daily drive this car so it almost never sees rain unless there's a pop up storm when I'm at a car show. I also never wash this car with soap and water either. I just use detailer.
Is it possible for you to make one for my 1995 pontiac firebird. Am interested
Nope, sorry. I won't sell any.
Is there an email to communicate with you for any other questions? Thanks
Big question is 97 ram hood? Do you make the knight rider lights for the size intake?
I would love to get some for my W$6 look bad ass where can I get some of these
I custom made them. I don't sell them though.
@@1999TransAmWS6 well you do a badass job on them brother you would make a lot of money selling them
Where are you located? Are you interested in doing this for others?
No I won't build tail lights for anyone.
Take my money!
How do I contact you about lights
Any interest in making these again for people willing to pay?
Nope, sorry
How much juss for the one likes those?
I made them for my cars only. I don't sell them
Where can I get them from?
I made them but I don't sell them.
@@1999TransAmWS6 can u make me 1?
@@MrErnest18045 no
good job.. And I want the same lighting if you sell it i buy from you any cost you want.
I don't sell them for a few reasons. One of the main reasons is they are incredibly time consuming to build. I just don't have the time to make them for anyone else. I'm starting my new version this weekend and with all the projects I'm working on, they'll take me 2 months at least.
@@1999TransAmWS6 open to whatever price you want to build a set and will send half cash upfront. Need an year to build em? you can take it.
How much for a set?
I don't sell them, they're just for my cars.
Would you be interested in making a set for me?
Nope, I'll never sell a taillight set.
HOW MUCH???
I have close to $800 just in parts in them.
@@1999TransAmWS6 so, to make a set for a valued subscriber, if u wanted, you'd probably need 1100 or so??
@@hewhoenlightens5431 it would be a ton more than that. It takes about 60 hours. I had someone offer me $4000 and turned it down. They're just for my cars only. I don't have any intentions of selling them for half a dozen reasons.
You make em to sell? Lol
Nope I don't.
@@1999TransAmWS6 well I guess you'll just have to sell me the whole car then lol
