As a German Shepherd owner, I can tell you that you have your young GS in the place for learning to be around the kids. Shouldn’t have the pup up on the couch, or braced against you. You’re sending the wrong message to your pup. He/ she should be on the ground till she’s taught to not nip..,beautiful girl, but could be unfortunate outcome without proper training

@@FurnaceGolem since they are kids you need to tell them that its not acceptable.. i have taught my dog to not do that since he was 4 weeks old.. Used to tell him NO if he tried to nip anyone.. within couple of weeks he understood and never did it to any humans. Just like humans its hard to break habits as they grow. So need to start young

Dumbs, German shepherd is not a pet.
I have a two month old male. Great with everyone but bites everything. When he gets mad it gets worse. Its possible he has some malanoise in him his colors match up. I'm going to have to take him to a school I'm concerned it may become a larger problem later on. No clue what I'm doing he was a rescue short notice. I've had big boxer mixes and American bulldogs highly aggressive but they knew when to chill. He's on max unless asleep. If anyone has suggestions please. He's similar to this with the nips but more puppy. Super high strung. I wouldn't have him around small kids even at his size now. I should note he has no mean demeanor just extremely excited.

It's got a lot to do with the fact the little boy is a male, and the German Shepherd is a male and see's the boy as a threat and is protecting the female. I had a small female shiz shu and one female granddaughter and six male grandsons. My dog would only nip at the granddaughter if she came near me not the boys. My dog didn't want any other female near me. She had no problem or issues with the boys!
