This was so moving. Prof gives off such an amazing competitive spirit. It’s not arrogant, it’s self assured. And just so flippin inspiring! She is a national treasure, this one ☝️
I can't believe how someone can be so positive about life. Will she ever agree to be the Minister of Education? Her energy is top tier. Well done, Mr. David. Inspiring Interview 🎉❤
That mention on Podcast and Chill brought me here... I really enjoy King David's podcast haven't watched in a while. Will definitely do a catch up. I really enjoyed this, i honestly didn't know that academia and universities can be this hectic and sometimes toxic.
She’s right when she says that Black leadership gets scrutinized and criticized. It’s like people spend their time looking for those little mistakes just so they can discredit a black woman/man’s leadership.
It took me 3 days to watch because I didn't want to skip through it. Every second was worth watching. What a beautiful conversation, this wasn't an interview. Thank you David for this💞
This was one of the best interviews we've had here! I absolutely love Aus'Mamokgethi - she is one amazing woman! Genuine and so outspoken, Thanks King David for bringing this phenomenal woman on your platform. Loved every minute of this interview.
Her story about Mathematics in contrast to the other subjects resonates so well with mine. I have been fairly good and could only tolerate the memorise-dense subjects up until matric level, but I did maths in varsity and found it more engaging and with loads of possibilities to get through (as she described) as compared to having to struggle with recorded facts that can only be quoted in one way. Otherwise I enjoyed watching this conversation, I got to hear a lot about my former Vice-Chancellor.
I totally agree with Mamokghethi about Maths. I wish I applied myself in high school. Did pure maths, only realised after matric that it was amazing and straight forward. The same with science. What you see is what you get.
Golden interview David... I most cried when she spoke about khayelisha. I understand what her student is saying. Issa jungle, but we soldier on day by day.
I will never get over this podcast. Prof is definitely my role model. A part of my success will be because of her. She is a real motivation for me as a young adult black woman fighting for survival in all aspects of my life and also winning not just surving.
I'm in awe of Prof Phakeng's brain and personality. I love it, all of it. I don't think she has any idea what she's done/doing for us as black girls. We are grateful, ma'am!!!!!!
Thanks bro D and ous kgethi, for motivation and coming out to share with us. We need the unapologetic and nonbiased academics who are also deliberate with life and purposes. Thank you.
I just love this woman, she gives hope the young and the old. She reminds us that there is a tomorrow, after festive season there is a school year for our children. Let's not leave beyond our means. She is a born teacher, be blessed my dear❤🙌
I watched this podcast over 3 days and stopped and would go back…!! I enjoyed every moment and she’s such a ball of energy and pure inspiration to me! She made the ‘interview’ easy.. king David I could see you also just allowed her to roll !!!🌸🌸🙏🏽
I am here again for the 3rd time. And maybe just to say this interview changed my life. No I am not studying towards some major achievement, but I am a human being who is now striving even more than before to do better, be better and believe I can be better. Thank you 😇
I'm blown away by this interview... Wow we have so many amazing black people in this country. From her parents to her, even her siblings. I am so amazed!!!

Oh maan David! I recently started watching your podcasts, they are wholesome. I've been postponing watching this one because I needed to savour every moment, and savour it I did. This woman, oh my God, so wholesome, so multi dimensional, she is a super human being. I've always admired her, now I'm awe struck, very inspirational.
I am going to watch this episode again but now with a pen and my journal. So many lessons here and I am really proud to see that we have such brilliant professors. I agree with you on ethical high ground, something that might actually change our country if people were not hypocrites. The way you explain academia is really inspiring, I am encouraged to go back to school and focus more on research that can take our country's media industry forward. Thank you for this interview David.
I have never paid her any mind but now after this interview she is one of the best and easily makes it as my favourites not only in academia but leadership and all that jazz

True that, Black People we need to believe in ourselves and respect fellow color kind, that's the only way to win this war.
South Africa needs reforms and not this Roman Dutch Laws, even in Parliament our leaders are being scrutinized
