Melodic analysis:
Key melodic figures, from short motifs to larger thematic units, are marked with a distinct color.
A new color means a new melodic figure. The same color means a recurring melodic figure.
Small gaps within a recurring melodic figure signify mutations, changes in the size or direction of the intervals.
A saw-toothed edge means that the melodic figure has been truncated at the head, tail, or both.
Melodic figures that are part of a sequence or imitative passage that does not appear elsewhere, are marked grey.
I found this piece in an old piano book from the 1950s and it is a collection of easy pieces by Händel and Bach. I just wanted to see how it sounds like. It's beautiful!
Its also in Piano Literature Volume 2 by Jane Smisor Bastien
Thank for your feedback, Bach sounds wonderful in all interpretations
It was surprisingly hard to find this piece on the internet, although it's on pretty much every single old book around there. It never has the same name for some reason.
it sounds amazing!!
This song is great and very melodic although it is in G minor. This song brings out a dreamy and bittersweet feeling. I like this song, thumbs up for this song. I hope to be able to listen to more of this song collection! 🎵

It's impressive that one can play this at that speed but in reality it's supposed to be a lot slower, specifically, in Moderato. Not that fast!
No it's that fast
My addition says Allegro moderato. Which is faster than moderato. Just saying. Barque period frequently didn't notate many things on their music. That's great for us! We can adjust some pieces to our needs/wants. Says the arthritic gramma ith a Master's in music.
The sheet music i downloaded says "Allegretto", yes i play it a little slower because of musical purposes but i think its about interpretation. As long as musicality is preserved, one can play it however they want. :)
Theofanw Gn yes! You are right! I am learning this song, my teacher has played to me this song and she was play it a lot slower.
Tommy Nguyen no it is a lot slower
I wonder why this does not feel like 3/4 time to me?
I have the same feeling.
What does the colors represent?
Please see the description for more details.

what key does mm13? c minor?
Hi Vincent. Thank you for your question and welcome to the channel. You are right, the key of C Minor is confirmed a little later in bars 15-16 by a perfect authentic cadence.

Is Carl Philip Emanuel Bach his son?
I think so
What do the colors mean?
The colors highlight important recurrent melodic fragments. Identical or closely related passages are marked with the same color (e.g. blue, green, ...). This makes it easy to recognize the basic structure of the piece and to follow the musical development of themes, motifs, and so on.
Idk
