the way this would happen in real life is if someone recieved massive head trauma that has damaged the brain, the brain would rewire itself to miss the damaged parts and that would lead to the brain being forced into tapping into new things that will come from that part so for freddy it was like in his head a box of chicken fell onto the *Nice Person* Switch.
