Flip monsters need to be able to activate like trap cards on the opponents turn.
That or also make them activate when targeted.

They either need more support cards that let you flip cards face up like Subterror Final Battle or more cards like Terrors in the Hidden City that give protection so they aren't sitting ducks.

I find it funny that they made a Flip monster archetype for Links, the only type of monster in the entire game that can’t be flipped face down.
They did this with Subterrors as well and it's so bad. Their Link makes summoning the Behemoths clunkier and slower because it turns off the ability to special summon them from hand leaving you dependent on the effect of the Link to summon one per turn.
It's Lovecraftian

I mean they gave Ghostrick a Link monster, and those guys are also a flip face-down deck, but at least Konami had the decency to allow the face-down monsters usable as link material lmao

If you criticize the choice of shotgunning all the shufflers you dont understand Tindangle.
Every Tindagle player, Joseph and this guy basically, know priority number 1 is doing everything in your power in order to lessen the chances of drawing Tindagle Cards.
As someone who’s favourite character in Vrains was Akira, it saddens me to see Tindangle be so underpowered. Flip monsters really do need a boost. 😢

We need a Flip archetype or change in ruling that let’s them flip face up upon targeting by your opponent for card effect like Deus X-Krawler does. Would be a massive buff.
Or at the very least give flip archetypes a field spell with this effect.

This episode reminded me of a lot of videos where they show how they "trash" meta decks and then they show a gold tearlament (or other meta decks) player who doesn't know how to play his deck
Yeah, i see a lot of "funny" video from that cat channel about some random deck (usually DM and bkue eyes) beat meta deck (usually in silver or gold) using board breaker like droplet, evenly or kaiju and they pretend that the dm and blue eyes card is the one doing all the work
Lmao for real. It's not as fun to watch as it used to be, but I could see myself fucking around with these decks with friends or something.
A very creative deck that many won't even consider. Hell, I'm sure that a lot of players didn't even knew that Tindangles exist. My respects for the duelist that saw an angle that benefits against Tearlaments matches.

Man i love tindangles so im glad to see somone talking about them in anyform cause they need help lol. I even drew them a support card bacause i love their archetype and premiss and use a tindangle prediction princess deck
Same, The Hounds of Tindalos is my favourite Lovecraft story, and splashing math concepts into the archetype is so cool, but my god do they need help, why the heck are the stairs unsearchable? I know it needs help in many ways (better link where??) but that irked me so hard.

They do still have some missing cards, though they would definitely need to have reworked effects in order to be useful for the deck. Plus Gergonne mentioning equipping to a "Tindangle" Link Monster means there's a possibility of getting another one. Stairs being searchable would be very nice. Above all, I'm most disappointed that Euler's Circuit is just such a awful field spell., to the point where I just use Flawless Perfection of the Tenyi instead. Meanwhile Tears get two.
@UnProx yea, maybe a new spell based on a mathematician that searches or can give link power by letting you link using fd monsters as if they were tindangle monsters. Maybe it could be called Napiers bones based on the bones of Napier.

There is a new flip deck list called "frostsmaker deck".
the UR card named frosts has the effect of "Flip: return this card to the hand and you take half damage this turn from battle damage. When this card is set facedown you can activate the following effect. Quick Effect: This card can't be tributed for a tribute summon. This turn, all special summoned monster's effects will be negated. At the end phase of your opponent's turn special summon a level 1 monster from your deck facedown."

Once they bring Tarotreith, Underworld, and Bibliomuse into Master Duel, Prediction Princess will be one of those pesky decks that can just win turn 1. Good deck combo'd with Shaddolls.

imagine they make set facedown and normal summon be a different summon method and flip effect also activate even destroyed by card effect no need to flip by battle or card effects. Or like other said, you can chain the flip on opponent turn.
Probably the only way they’d be able to cope with removal, but even then they’re still leaving the field immediately after.

As someone that plays Gravekeeper's, any buff to Spy and Guard are infinitely welcome, though for GK's specifically I think I'd prefer some kind of spell/trap that turns DARK Flip monsters or cards that mention Necrovalley (get that vintage Night Assailant, A Cat of Ill Omen, An Owl of Luck, and Rite of Spirit support) into handtraps that you activate by revealing them in the hand (counts as being flipped face up) instead of discarding. You know, since their boss fusion only searches during the end phase, so it's literally useless for the next turn (or two if it's a trap like Imperial Tombs) and it can't search half of the ancient support like Charm of Shabti or Gravekeeper's Stele anyway, or even the new Gravekeeper's Inscription.
It'd still probably be more fair than Runick letting you draw three each turn as well. You need at least three cards to get Necrovalley and Supernaturalist anyway (assuming nothing got negated), which means you have to hard-draw into it and one useable card before Supernaturalist's search gives you a second piece of disruption.

I have been crushing the atr4 event with my penguin deck. Just broke a full sword soul field with 3 synchros by setting penguin soldier. Then had to go through double imperm, called by, ash, and blackout before I was finally able to do my combo (his last card was maxx c lol) and went for game. I think it was the longest duel I had all week if not month.

You know, I was sad about not being able to get to D1 last month. But after watching this vid, I'm glad I'm not THAT bad.
The trap Light of Intervent use to flip monster went they were set allowing you to get the effect quicker and still have a defense position monster, but then Konami deside to change it to instead to make it stop the setting of monsters and to instead let you summon they in face up defense. This made me sad when i went to bluid a flip summon deck back in I think it was 2014.
Favourite flip effect... "You can target up to 2 monsters on the field; return those targets to the hand."

@@Ramsey276one it was back when I mostly played the video games... on GBA / DS... and Penguins were not an archotype... just a pretty cool staple when the "ai" would normal summon one monster and attack...
My favorite flip monster is Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei + 2 Spike Shield & Concentrating current.
I know it’s not a “flip” monster, but sometimes it’s fun to “set 4 pass” and watch them crash and die.
Just make flips great again!

to be honest, only thing buffing flip is to add - if this card is sent to GY or banished while face-down - trigger effect like it is being flipped
And even then they’re still getting removed from the field. Also crawlers would be hilariously meta.
If it has FLIP subtype, you can Set them in Face-down Attack Position, and it still can attack. When its attack, it flips itself face-up (Forbidden Memories moment).
Konamy should just make cards that let you flip monsters as quick effects/trap cards
Already precedent for it. Krawler dues ex lets you flip and negate an effect which targets it when its face down
There are already cards like that, that's why Subterrors and Krawlers are good and Tindangles are not

That would be actually broken, quick effect is really strong, only loses to other quick effects or counter traps, imagine giving quick effect to every flip monster in the game, some monsters and archetypes would be busted. xD

The part that I'm most disappointed by is that there was no win by Gergonne's End.
Not going to pretend like it matters too much, it's cool that they won in the first place.
You asked what their win con was? No. They don't have one. At least it doesn't feel like they do.
The deck feels like it wants to OTK, but it has no way to immediately establish a threatening board. It also feels like that it wants to play control, but the deck has nothing that your opponent needs to respect.
The thing I hate by far the most though is Nagel's protection. All things considered, it's an amazing piece of protection that a ton of other archetypes would like to have, not to mention that it can replace itself.
The problem is that it protects tindangle monsters, in which tindangle is a deck focused on flip monsters, which may I remind you that facedown monsters are not public knowledge, therefore they aren't protected by Nagel's protection. It's fine for battle, but I have been screwed over by raigeki or whatever else.

I've a genuine question. Do you use stairs of mail? I feel like it's so specific, and only one tindangle monster gets the most put of it. Though this video showed me some Ishizu cards help.
