FIP Paisagens Rurais: Integrated landscape management in the Cerrado biome

The Integrated Landscape Management in the Cerrado Biome project, known as "Paisagens Rurais", is coordinated by the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) and the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MMA), with the participation of several partner institutions. The aim of the project is to encourage integrated management of the rural landscape, by increasing landscape connectivity, hydrological flows, ecological processes and the adoption of sustainable agriculture. The project's actions are guided by two priority public policies: the Forest Code (Federal Law No. 12.651/2012), with its instruments for the environmental regularization of rural properties.
