Thank you for the video. What exctly does Psiklone mean at the minute 6:43 when ha says "emotions charge breaking the curse"? Does the part of "emotions charge" mean something like: emotions accumulate / amount / increase? Thanks in advance.
Rhyme Asylum!!!! It’s so awesome to see someone listen to this and love it. “Im a dead manwalking spirit dragging my carcass!!!!!” Yooooooooo this is so awesome!!!! Rhyme Asylum put out two albums. The first album (this song is off it as well) is one of the best albums I’ve ever heard. Possessed (who starts the song off) is the best rapper I’ve ever heard,
Love that people are still discovering Rhyme Asylum in 2023. These dudes were such great lyricist and I was super into horrorcore when I found in high school and they blew any other "horrorcore" artist I heard out of the water. If you've listened to any of thier other songs and liked the darker imagery you should give Jakprogresso aka Jak Tripper a go. His discography is thicc af but I'd recommend his newer stuff becuase it's not as forward with the horror themes. Man From Nowhere is probably my favriote song he's dropped this year. If you like that then check out his album Random Violence which is pretty much a hidden gem/early 2000s underground classic.
I love Aesop but I live for UK hip hop. Seriously, you disrespected it but you're missing out. Jehst is your entrypoint and I'm thinking hard to pick 1 song for you to try. You said RA is a bit on the nose in this, Jehst is metaphorical to the other extreme. Gonna have to go with Jehst - Alcoholic Author. One of his best and its got some of my favourite lines of all time: "Read my palms and see the evil of my fore-fathers" "I seek change like a busker but things stay much the same Cut the weather vein, I hear blood water tapping out the lords morse code on my window pane"
I’d like to request Illogic-Atlantis Depth. I love the way you break down the rhyme structures. Ill is an off kilter rhyme architect and I think you could do it some justice. I’m super interested in your breakdown of the last couple of bars
Yeah I've been noticing it's harder than it should be to find correct lyrics to songs you've never heard before 😂 I'm probably going to have to resort to genius
I highly recommended checking out Broken Window by Rhyme Asylum, it's probably their best song and one of the best songs in general when it comes to storytelling, also if you wanna get into UK hip hop I recommend you check out Jam Baxter, he's very similar to Aesop in his use of cryptic metaphors and imagery
Rhyme Asylum - Poison Penmanship | This is actually just Possessed solo but a good starting place! Welcome to RA!!
Smoke Screens and Pipe Dreams is do goated
Me and my mate put an event on around 8 years ago in Manchester and had these headline - brilliant
brotha lemme tell ya the UK rap scene is insane.
Ocean wisdom

A lot of lyrics in this lyric video are off. Incredibly deep and poetic song. Skill level is off the charts as usual. Best rap group ever!

Crazy how people are just discovering RA now, they were way ahead of their time and sadly dont make music anymore 😢
Love to see people listening to RA. Too bad the lyrics aren't correct lol
