I have so much respect for these hard working indigenous people!! It's amazing to see such humble people. We in the west can all learn a thing or two. Thank you guys for sharing. That's why I know your channel will grow huge!!!!🌽🌽🌽🍿
Hello my best friend daughter Jessica moved to Ghana 3 months ago from America. She lives near Accra, she's trying to get her TH-cam channel off the ground. It's called Aligned with the Ammahs on TH-cam. I just recently subscribed to your channel and I Love your videos, they give Americans that's already in Ghana some HOPE. Can you please take her under your wing and show her that she can too make it in our Motherland ❤
Thank you! So sweet! Accra is a different beast than the outer cities. I think anyone can survive there so long as the money is not an issue. I have a private group in the memberships area for people like her. We network and help one another to navigate.
This morning it occurred to me that your video productions are similar in ways to the "I Love Lucy" series of the 1950's when television industry was in its youth. There was this intercultural couple sharing their comedic lives with the world, including all of their juiciest moments. The needs and desires of their audiences met their perfect match in Lucy and Desi's productions. Best of luck in your pioneering efforts in our modern "Africa Rising" age!
My opinion that doesn't matter is they should continue to work hard as they want. I think if you want to go commercial, you can have the machine do some work while the people do some as well- half and half or so. I think it's important to them to work hard. It's what they do and they love working.
I loving the camaraderie in this video.
understanding is the best thing in the world, i love you guys

Justin loves his mom ❤❤❤❤
Not only the husks can be used to make tamales, the corn silk is also used as tea for diabetes. I'm not sure how it's done but you can look it up. You're right about corn being a staple food source . I so enjoy your channel. Thank you again for being yourselves. Makes me feel like family too.❤❤❤🙋🇺🇸
❤ can't wait to purchase your popcorn 🍿
Well done my sister God bless you. Amen.
SO PROUD OF YOU E.S.🥰Living your dream, Girl! I see you.
From Farm to table organically is vital. Here in the states too many people buy what they can afford, however I’m noticing a change. I’ll stay in my daughter’s ear about her natural ability to farm. She encourages me to continue gardening.
Thank you both…self sustainability is now and moving forward.😊
Great corn harvest.🙂
That is what i call golden corn! May your wishes be realised 100%!

'I'm Glad That Jamaica Is Mentioned; Because She Is Closely Connected To Ghana; It's Like Mother & Daughter'.
Am glad you are going mechanized farming. The machine would be very essential.
Also you could call on the agriculture ministry in Ghana for professional advice they have officers all over Ghana who would be at your service. I hope you look into that. Good luck to you all.
Es is in her comfort zone space 🤗
You guys are very inspirational
Your farm life so elegant I love it
Keep up
One day I will visit you guys
❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
From previous experience I found that the first crop of corn is really good, but the corn will need fertilizer for the second crop if it is grown in the same spot.
I'm proud of you doing great.
I agree the Machine." WORK SMARTER ", NOT HARDER, so that you are not too tired to Enjoy the Fruits of your Labor!!!.
I know you all will do very well and also helping your community. I am watching and I am planting a few veggies, peppers, onions I love okra, tomatoes and butter beans collards, kale spinach, squash. Some things I can do now. My peppers did not do well because it was so hot. But I did get some. I am from the South but live in NC at present. I was raised on the farm. I love being able to grow my own veggie. Sweet potatoes is not bad but I am not ready to tackle that task right now. We get a lot of those during this time for free. Well enough said enjoy your blessings. Try to stay cool👨🏽🌾
Remember to market the husk for tamales. Blessings, blessing, blessings. Great job.
@@DIYHOUSEANDFARM : Ship them. Your advantage is, they are all natural and uncontaminated by chemicals. Maybe next season when you build up funds you will be apt to market them in bundles. As hard as I see you and yours working; you deserve only the best.
This makes cornmeal porridge or amino corn porridge we have this in Jamaica
Not a long ago since you moved to that completely empty land. You built your beautiful farm house, developed the land well, surrounded with beautifully ambience of plants and birds. Y'all remind me of Adam & Eve in eden. You are now harvesting your organic corn and I am still stocked here thinking if I ever return back home how am I going to adjust and survive🤔. I have lived in the US for about 20 yrs now and whenever I go back home my family will be like that American woman is here. You have no idea how inspirational you two are. I want to pack up everytime I watch you guys. Saving up for a farm now.
Save the Corn Silk as well. That is well sought after for medicinal Tea. You guys have so many venues with that corn business.
It is a lot of work to harvest corn. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing how you do the nixtamalization process. There’s a 6-part video on it using modern equipment and it still look like a labor of love process. Hence why I will only buy corn masa harina 😃
A good move.

Sell it local and export! I can see it now. Gourmet fully organic popcorn, corn meal, corn flour, corn starch, etc.
I was at the Farmers Market at The Grove, and I saw a honey that was from Zambia being sold there, so yes you can do it too!
Sis those peppers, dry some to make a crushed pepper, chili powder, spicy pepper blend and a hot chili oil ,like shito.😊
Very. Good. Idea. Vim. Man. And. Es. Farmong. Is. The. Way. Yo. Go. People. Have. To. Eat. Every. Day
You guys are so amazing. My question is did you guys use fertilizer or cow manure to grow your corn?
Harvesting corn brings back memories of my family farming corn and, peas and vegetables. Corn was my favorite we dry the corn, parch- or put the grains in a hot pot , and then beat it in a Marta add coconut and sugar and it is good, tasty. If I should be in a situation to be a farmer, corn will be the commodity to grow.
Yes y’all will!!❤
Im a DayOne subbie. STILL love you guys beautiful videos. Watching from E.S.'s hometown Southern Cali🌴☀️🌊
Another good one is Sugar Cane y’all can make whiskey with it
In Jamaica, we harvest the corn as a family by hand.
Nice one...

Hey DIY fam! I was wondering if y’all gone sell us some of those indigenous corn seeds and when?
watching from houston Texas how long before we see ES organic popcorn,
packaged?❤️😇
Hey E.S and Vim, with all that corn you have maybe you can try making a corn candy (known as Gofio in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic and other parts of the world) for the kids that come around to try? It is ground roasted corn mixed with sugar. Maybe Vim knows what it is by a different name over there?
I love your farm where do you get those beautiful plants and flowers. Are they from Tamale?
I’ve collected plants from around ghana. Some are from right here in Tamale.
I know africa don’t have sweetcorn though I think that will be great
I love how VM always sees the positive in a situation. We can all take a lesson from that.
