Thank you for your videos and guides! They definitely played a part in me winning my first in person LOTR draft tonight! 3-0 by focussing on picking strong mono colored black and white cards. In previous drafts I would focus too much on the shiny multi colored cards with specific synergies, but this deck felt so much smoother to play because of the better mana base and every card being good to great by themselves.

Uruk-Hai Beserker is really good. Breaking of the fellowship you had a chance to pick a few times and is quite good. Also the one black mana elf wraith that comes back is quite good to have one of.
Black-Red is my fav combo in this format so far though. Strong and lots of fun to play!
I've been really impressed by Uruk-Hai Berserker, especially compared to my initial evaluation! I always enjoy playing it!

Really great draft segment & communication - gameplay was difficult to watch though with animation stutter.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the feedback. I'm going to have to look into it because I've gotten that feedback before, but when I'm recording, the gameplay doesn't look stuttered to me (either that or I'm used to it and don't notice).
Call of the Ring - very flavorful black enchantment. I like the art, too. And of course, I'm going to comment on your cool haircut! LOL. Not a fan of conceding either. Or as my friend said, "Conceived".

Great Video. I just started playing MTG Arena and I'm still confused about Draft picks. What is the sideboard and how/why do you use it?
The sideboard is used when you play best of 3 matches (what is referred to as, “traditional,” on MTG Arena). In best of 3 you get to, “sideboard,” after game 1, which means you can swap out some cards between your maindeck and your sideboard based on the matchup or other factors like that.

I do love the LoTR set and am working on building mine in MTG Arena because I just love the lore and playstyle. It's also the first set I physically own so it was fun to see it in action by someone who is actually good.

Having a hard time drafting this. Everyone drafting blue and black. Forcing me to do wr or rg. Get up to 4 wins sometimes but just bomb on most :(. Plus when mtg wants you to lose doesn't help any no matter how great you build.

Isn’t the trebuchet perfect for your deck? It makes a 2/1 attacking creature with flying so that is almost always going to connect every turn.
