    I like how the stud finder came with a pencil. I hate when I take the time to find the center of a stud and figure out a left my pencil in the other room somewhere 🤦🏾

    Trying to decide if I should put it up against the wall before I secure or leave it out like you did - what's the difference?

      Hey Katie, we would always recommend the directions for the safety but we personally would not push the top part against the wall because that will lift the front bottom of the shelf from the ground and put additional stress on the shelf mount due to gravity wanting to pull the shelf back to where the base is level to the ground! We explain this at 4:02 as well. If you truly want a flush look, you would have to cut out a space for the shelf at the baseboard, so that it can be both flat on the floor and flush to the wall😅
