    Can you take a 2010 engine and swap it to a 2014 genesis.
    I found a blown 2.0t 2014 r spec engine, planning to swap it with my 2010 2.0t
    Is it possible??

      @ProdigePerformance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes sir. Just make sure you use all the bk2 accessories. Every accessory from the blown bk2 engine has to be swapped onto the good running bk1 engine

      @@ProdigePerformance my man.
      I appreciate the feedback.
      I found a low mile 2014 rSpec with bad pistons. Could have more damage so I’m just swapping the engine entirely
      Might use the bad engine to practice rebuilding since it’ll just be sitting there collecting dust.

    What gasket kit do you recommend

    Couldn’t find much info... does the BK1 2.0T fit/swap into a BK2 2.0T? What modifications are needed to be done? Blew my motor in my BK2 & looking for alternatives, just trying to make sure a 2011 motor fits in my 2014

      It’s a direct swap. Just swap your bk2 engine accessories onto the bk1 block. Simple as that

    Thanks a lot man you are saving me a lot of money. Local shops were asking 7k for a rebuild and 5k for a swap. Got an engine knock and I still owe on the car. The prices of the engines are more than a the car itself, so I'm hoping its just bearings and pistons I have to replace.

      I go to local pick and pulls and the
      Motors are usually $900-$1100
      And yo can even get a genesis from auction for $2k and still spend less haha
      That’s what I do.

    How can I remove my torque converter bolts if engine is seized? My crankshaft won’t move so I can’t get to the other bolts! Any ideas?

    • @ProdigePerformance
      @ProdigePerformance  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You’ll essentially have to tear apart the motor.
      Take the heads off and see what’s causing the crank not to rotate
      Sometimes it can be a stuck timing chain as well
