I've never seen a battle hardened soldier like that cry his eyes out as he put the kid out of his misery. 20 weeks later and I was pretty sure I was going insane. We were awoken up in the middle of the night by the sirens, that could only mean one thing. The site was now being breached. We grab our rifles and hurry outside to see absolute mayhem, soldiers being ripped to shreds, researchers and volunteers having no experience in weapon handling accidentally shooting one of their own. I lost count of how many men we lost, we were low on ammunition and had to retreat to the rooftop. It was sunset when incendiary bombs and miniguns finally repelled the infected. 28 weeks later we were finally going home, nobody spoked when we boarded the plane, no celebration, nothing." - US army survivor

Idea for a horror movie. US soldiers at the beginning of our occupation of Afghanistan are haunted by and eventually hunted down by paranormal entities. The entities being the soviet troops KIA in the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan in the late 70s early 80s. It starts with staticy almost unintellegable comms of Russian speaking soldiers under fire (referencing the accounts of real US soldiers hearing russian speakers under fire coming over their own radios) then slowly escalates from there. Eventually they see armored vehicles and other Soviet assets that always seem to stay in the corner of their eyes and elude radar or satellite imagery. Then eventually they start getting hunted down and picked off one by one by dead Soviet soldiers who are just skeletons in uniform like the soldiers in Death Stranding. And it becomes a horror/survival/action where they fight for their lives against the ghosts of the dead soldiers.

While listening to this i was writing a fictional story for an assignment and man this song gave me the idea of a lone ss soldier who is from a parallel universe roaming the ruins of the thousand year reich it is 1946 and in this universe his division was the last of the battle hardened veterans who had nothing to lose or fight for they were simply holding a horde...a horde of creatures they never saw most of the rumours were that they were the result of some slavic ritual in the tomb of a long gone man in manchuria or siberia but the thing which was terrifying was how fast they spread as it didn't take long for the ussr to collapse with moscow a breathing spore hell hole and the front ablaze qith the gore of the gates of hell. I wake up to screaming in the middle of the night, looks like one of the privates is having nightmares again, everyone wakes up, but nobody talks, they know what it’s like by now. This unit, this marine unit has been to hell and back battling the Japanese. When we hear “Banzai!” we all look up, not just the infantrymen, the medics, engineers, and even the MPs all look up knowing what’s to come. Shells come blasting over our heads and wake everyone up again, except for one guy, Lieutenant Michell, who sleeps like a baby. By now we all know what Michell has been through, he was in Guadalcanal, where everything living got shot at. The greenies (new troops) still rustle and cry like babies, the oldies don’t flinch when a greenie goes down, they’ve seen enough of them do that. In the bunks we hear a sudden noise, more, and more and then.. a scream, a loud piercing son of a bitch that wouldn’t shut up. The screaming stopped. We got Louie, the company medic to go out and check out where the screaming had been. Louie screamed almost as loud as the screaming before. There laying there was a dead Marine, I knew that Marine, he had the night watch that night. Apparently some Japanese had snuck into our base and stabbed and shot anyone they could. Nearby that Marine was a greenie, dead, with a look of absolute horror on his face. I couldn’t look at his face without getting trauma so I looked at the other Marine, I wish I hadn’t, his face was completely gone with bayonet holes everywhere, so much that I gasped. Now I knew why Lieutenant Michell never took prisoners, ‘cause of shit like this. All of a sudden we heard a gunshot, a sidearm, go off INSIDE the bunks. No one knew what happened because everybody was outside the bunker, but once we were inside we saw Lieutenant Michell laying there, with a pistol still in his left hand. The man had committed suicide. We had a funeral for him, almost a full month later, and then almost immediately after that the Japanese surrendered. That night was probably the most traumatizing night I have ever experienced and I here I sit on a ship, 28 days later.

While listening to this i was writing a fictional story for an assignment and man this song gave me the idea of a lone ss soldier who is from a parallel universe roaming the ruins of the thousand year reich it is 1946 and in this universe his division was the last of the battle hardened veterans who had nothing to lose or fight for they were simply holding a horde...a horde of creatures they never saw most of the rumours were that they were the result of some slavic ritual in the tomb of a long gone man in manchuria or siberia but the thing which was terrifying was how fast they spread as it didn't take long for the ussr to collapse with moscow a breathing spore hell hole and the front ablaze qith the gore of the gates of hell. I was the few of the last who managed to run from warsaw and back to berlin where we came to know that the west was lost to the same attacks our only no not ours but humanity,s last fortress was berlin which was defended by a garrison of 4 million men the fuhrer had succumbed to his unrelenting fanaticism and finally was hanged with karl doenitz taking the helm of power we made electromagnetic barriers on our border but sometimes those monstrosities came to kill and i saw some of my men who never even flinched jumping into a bunker full of god knows how msny soldiers beg me to put them out of their misery. Mankind used to say that war is hell bit i flatly refuse because what i witnessed was not short of a creation which even the devil himself cannot fathom to create. Tomorrow we are going to put down sn outbreak in aachen if we dont respond to radio transmissions sent by berlin aachen will be levelled.

I wake up to screaming in the middle of the night, looks like one of the privates is having nightmares again, everyone wakes up, but nobody talks, they know what it’s like by now. This unit, this marine unit has been to hell and back battling the Japanese. When we hear “Banzai!” we all look up, not just the infantrymen, the medics, engineers, and even the MPs all look up knowing what’s to come. Shells come blasting over our heads and wake everyone up again, except for one guy, Lieutenant Michell, who sleeps like a baby. By now we all know what Michell has been through, he was in Guadalcanal, where everything living got shot at. The greenies (new troops) still rustle and cry like babies, the oldies don’t flinch when a greenie goes down, they’ve seen enough of them do that. In the bunks we hear a sudden noise, more, and more and then.. a scream, a loud piercing son of a bitch that wouldn’t shut up. The screaming stopped. We got Louie, the company medic to go out and check out where the screaming had been. Louie screamed almost as loud as the screaming before. There laying there was a dead Marine, I knew that Marine, he had the night watch that night. Apparently some Japanese had snuck into our base and stabbed and shot anyone they could. Nearby that Marine was a greenie, dead, with a look of absolute horror on his face. I couldn’t look at his face without getting trauma so I looked at the other Marine, I wish I hadn’t, his face was completely gone with bayonet holes everywhere, so much that I gasped. Now I knew why Lieutenant Michell never took prisoners, ‘cause of shit like this. All of a sudden we heard a gunshot, a sidearm, go off INSIDE the bunks. No one knew what happened because everybody was outside the bunker, but once we were inside we saw Lieutenant Michell laying there, with a pistol still in his left hand. The man had committed suicide. We had a funeral for him, almost a full month later, and then almost immediately after that the Japanese surrendered. That night was probably the most traumatizing night I have ever experienced and I here I sit on a ship, 28 days later.
