Thank you for enjoying kep1er! here’s a quick rundown of them for you they were formed through the mnet survival show girls planet 999 as a 9 member group consisting of Kim Chaehyun, Huening Bahiyyih (sister of txt Huening Kai), Choi Yujin (former clc member), Kim Dayeon, Seo Youngeun, Kang Yeseo (former busters member), Ezaki Hikaru, Sakamoto Mashiro, and Shen Xiaoting. (members listed in rank order) they debuted January 3rd 2022 and as a 9 member group they released 5 korean mini albums, 1 korean full album, 3 japanese mini albums, and 1 japanese full album. the group was originally intended to be active as a temporary group for 2 and 1/2 years. they were initially going to disband on July 3rd 2024 but 7/9 members signed contracts to continue as kep1er. the two members who didn’t were Mashiro and Yeseo who returned to their original company and redebuted in the group madein. this is kep1er’s first release as a 7 member group so it’s almost like a redebut for them as well. the length of the new contract is still unknown but based on what Yujin (leader) said in a recent comeback interview they do not plan to share the new length and just want to continue for as long as they can. TLDR; kep1er is an mnet survival show group originally 9 members and meant to be temporary but 7 members signed new contracts to continue as a group. this is their first release since losing 2 members.

Kep1er is such an incredible and underrated group. I really loved this album too!! You should definitely check out more from them!! I really highly recommend their full album from earlier this year “Kep1going”. It’s one of my top girl group albums of the whole year. It has a few music videos that go with it too, including Shooting Star, Straight Line and Grand Prix (all bangers) Thanks for checking them out!!! So glad you enjoyed them! 😁
