  • This episode of Fun With Aviation was a walkaround of our two Cessna O-2A Skymaster. The "Oscar Deuce" or "Duck" was a forward air control aircraft used mostly in Southeast Asia.

The black O2 at the Eglin Armament Museum, FL. tail# 864 assigned to the 21st TASS in Vietnam is black now. I've flown as a radio operator/spotter in this aircraft in Vietnam before it was converted and used as a night controller.. Good memories..

Hi Larry, glad we were able to provide those for you. We have our bi-annual BroncoFest coming in November. It is open to all FACs and people like yourself. We have a Facebook page about it or can send info if you are interested.

Can this twin takeoff on one engine? If so what is climb rate on one and is there a difference in thrust b/t fore and aft engines"

Technically, yes. However, Federal Aviation Administration Airworthiness Directive 77-08-05 prohibits single-engine take-offs and requires the installation of a placard marked "DO NOT INITIATE SINGLE ENGINE TAKEOFF".
