    Old Irish supporter: For the first time in over fifty years it pains me to say that I've less than minimal interest in this year's Bledisloe Cup. It's pointless me going into it deeper than that, other than to give yous some hint as to why I think the craic there is as flat as a witches tit, for me: The stubborn insistance to continually play Reiko Ioane and Ardie Savea out of position, when there are men in the squad who are specialists in those two respective positions. And it doesn't stop with those two players, again, in my opinion...Anyroadup, It's the Springbok vs Pumas clash that whets my interest. The best rugby side on the planet vs the 'Great up-setters'. C'mon the Springboks!🏴‍☠☘👍. God bless, to all.

      Yeh too much complacency, the All black legacy is being ruined with scott Robinson, Rieko ione jordie Barret etc theyre to skinny they aint breaking no tackles, too much skinny guys in the back line, theres tennis players in the back line 90 kg 6'1-6'3 guys in the back line, thats a major weakness wait and see

    If we lose the first game against Aus then there will be some serious head scratching for Nz rugby. Lose both and that would draw the line for razor. I think majority of our fans including myself would lose all hope in our future if we lose that bledisloe cup

    So frustrating hearing Razor talk about not converting attacking opportunities into tries. The fact is, it is an indicator of the conservative selection policy he's implemented, especially in the midfield. The Jordie/Rieko pairing yes has it's good moments but continually fails to deliiver quality distribution, timely service and the creativity required to unlock the full potential of our outside backs. Albeit against Fiji, the beauty of the ALB/Proctor combo was in its simplicity and fearlessness - no nonsense crashball from ALB coupled with Proctors daring odd-ball play resulting in a dangerous and unpredictable picture for the opposition defence. It is the style of rugby that is in our DNA and which properly resonates with kiwis.
    Also a mention too of Reece and Telea's poor form. One if not both need to go (though I can only realistically see one going). There are three other deserving wings that are in form at the moment - Narawa, Tavatavanawai and Kini Naholo. Razor has often bought up the necessity for "versatility" in the playing group and currently has two underperforming specialist wingers. Narawa is currently demonstrating his playmaking at centre for BOP in the NPC so of course can now cover three positions (wing, fullback, centre). Tavatavanawai also can play both wing and centre too. I hope Razor has the sense to reward the brilliant form shown by these players.

    I can’t understand why you’d roll out your least experience players off the bench to close out a game that’s in the balance and don’t have the time on the clock to make mistakes . Wouldn’t you start them where they have time and mistakes can be caught up on the score board .. and then bring experience on who are used to the pressure and less likely to make mistakes to close the last 20 out .

      I have to say that is highly unlikely. While the ABs are rebuilding and will take another year or two to be at full potential the Wallabies have serious problems with depth. When the two props came off against Argentina the Pumas literally tore them apart. They went through James Slipper like a wet paper bag and he is coming up to becoming the most capped player in Australian history. In all 5 top rugby countries he would not have had a career at test level. The depth isn't there at the moment. It would be great if Joe builds it back up and Australia become a major force once more but right now my prediction is - the Aussies will hang on for a "decent" loss in Sydney and get smashed in Wellington. The only other possibility is that the Aussies also get smashed in Sydney, I doubt it but it's definitely a possible scenario. The only reason I say that is that the ABs are not yet seasoned finishers. They are leaving points on the field but that won't last forever.

    Seems repetitive to me - probably we need a 10 that can actually get the backs going properly with consistent passing . Otherwise the northern tour teams will be licking there lips.

      You want to try seeing it from an Irish supporter's perspective and that elusive; getting past the quarter-finals of every frikn RWC that there ever was,😉🤣ffsks! Yet I fully understand your present frustrations and sense that, as a New Zealander, you are not alone in your "ire". The stubborn use of players constantly being selected out of their specialist roles is hard to understand, plus selecting Reece at all. Reece is no doubt great at practice and is superb at Super Rugby, but up against the big fish he is not, imo. Leon's leaving the coaching team, before going to SA, has done no good, least of all for player morale, no matter the bs at glossing it over.

    • @Martin-pb7ts
      @Martin-pb7ts หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      He has a lot of debutants in the team - replace TJ and Cane and you have even less experience. I would have to say that the losses would be even worse. Somewhere someone has to acknowledge that the ABs are coming off 15 years of having the best players in the world and they don't have that luxury currently. They're going to have to build that talent pool back up and to just assume that another coach will cruise in and win with a group of debutants and a weakened talent pool is wishful thinking. This will just create more chaos and confusion and only make the rebuilding process much longer. Stick with Scott Robertson and give him the support he deserves and I reckon the ABs will be fearsome within 2 years. Ditch him and you're looking at at least 6 years of problems as another coach comes in and also doesn't get results, you going to fire him too? We've seen various scenarios where rugby unions have kept firing their coaches for not performing and its taken years and years for them to recover.

      @@KernowekTim I agree about playing players out of position - it has to stop, it is not working. And yeah Sevu Reece is just not a threat at that level. He is a major threat when he gets space but all the defensive systems have figured that out about the ABs and their space is being shut down very effectively. I think they need to go back to their giant winger formula. I think it would work in the current environment.
