I've been going to lumina since I was 6 years old. I am now 27. My parents have been going since they were in their 20s and early 30s. I will be bringing my future family here as well. There is something magical about this place that is hard to describe. It's certainly not the boujee, fancy resort like you'd find with Deerhurst and others. It's RUSTIC and genuine. If you're looking to log off and really get in touch with a more classic, earthy , homey side of yourself this is where you need to be.
Thanks Jay...no, Lumina isn't the same type of experience as say a Deerhurst. But it seemed during our time there that the guest far preferred it that way. Cheers!
I have been going to lumina since I was a baby with my family. It is always so fun to talk to everyone there. Tec is so nice and always walks around and sees how everyone is doing. All of the workers are nice and caring. It is a beautiful resort and is the best place to have fun and interact with people. (As you can see my pic is of lumina)
Very nice review! What is the best season to stay? Will end of August a bit too late? Keep up the good work! (I am so jealous to see the Pacifica hybrid you drive, many of us are still waiting for the order to be delivery)
Thanks Stephen! This review was shot in the past week so you can see what a late August stay would be like. I personally have no problems with it but it does depend on your preferences to be honest. As for the Pacifica Hybrid, I agree that it would be nice to see some more inventory around dealerships. I've given the vehicle a more thorough review and if you want to see it, please check out this link and thanks again! th-cam.com/video/1d7P7OiB3FY/w-d-xo.html

When did they buy Fire Island! I use to go in the 60s, 70s and 80s and don’t recall them owning it.
I wouldn't be able to answer that question, but it seems like it had been a number of years prior to me shooting the review.

Thanks for the comment and for sharing the memories. Both are appreciated.

It's a lovely place to get away, for sure.
