Tiffany, you are awesome! I love watching your videos and you listening to you encourages me to continue my effort to power forward in my desire to be a software developer. If one really wants to become a master programmer they need to fully understand how the computer works right down to the microprocessor level and the best way to do this is to learn assembler. Start with the 8 bit/16 bit processors, such as the 6502, 8088/8086, 6809, 6800, Z80, etc. You may not get a job learning these processors, but it will build a very strong foundation in one's career as a coder. There are dozens of TH-cam videos on this, and you can even build a whole computer using one of these chips and a few breadboards. Now that's "looking under the hood".
I really like this video as a person who is in sector for only one year. I really want to take my skills to the next level; so noted and gonna apply! Thank you
I agree with specializing in just a few languages. Python and JavaScript covers the fast development part, and C++ and Rust covers slow development of more code with lighting fast programs. I don't do Golang because its between and not in the extreme of either market & niche. Sticking to just a few langauges is key! I don't go Golang or Haskell or Julia or Crystal or Erlang lol
Systems thinking, as an important skill in getting better at programming, usually comprise of logic reasoning, numerical acuity and process-based approach. The choice of language is on the surface of this surface as the manner and reasoning that goes into the understanding of the algorithm runs deeper. We may perceive seasoned programmers, e.g. Tiff, as having innate or natural abilities but most of them earn the acquired ability over time through challenging projects. Cheers, Tiff! 😍🤓🥰
I really like how you're just telling people that look... "look at other people's code!" lol... dang good words cause...really taking a course to learn something over say a month when you could just google it, Heh google was magic for me.... coming from a time without it... but still self-taught without it! Well back before google! Today... lol why wouldn't I use it? Google is faster and easier than asking! I just... IDK if you mentioned it or not(again I'm guilty of not watching the full vid)... would discourage straight copy past coding from that jazz(rather play with that code and see what you can do to make it better for your needs!)
Great vid. I need your input. I have reached a point with Elixir where I have hit a brick wall with my understanding. I know that I will get through it. It has been 3 days where nothing makes sense. My quesion here is as follows: What would you do in a situation like this. Would you step back for a while and then come back? Would you press on (like I am doing, but this makes the brick wall thicker), or would you go back a bit and "redo" what you learnt and if so, how far back. Thanks for the video and hoping to hear your feedback.
Hi Tiff, what tips do you have for taking a break from the daily coding activities? I myself take some coffee time and listen to a music, but you might have something more useful on this topic. Thank you. Nice sharing as usual btw. 🙏
Tiffany, you are awesome. I am regularly watching your video. I am software engineer and.net developer. Could you please let me know, how to become a computer research scientist. Do we need master degree or bachlor degree is enough. Let me know what are the knowledge needs to be improved for this position
Where do you find the balance between all of this and then looking for my first job? I'm getting really frustrated, but also know I am missing out on a lot of things, but where do I start? Even saying all this, I still don't regret NOT doing a computer science degree.
Start of video: Improve coding? I should probably stop watching YT videos! End of video: Ok this was actually helpful and makes a lot of sense... now I can do some more coding in peace :) Cheers Tiff
i'm a newbie , i'm starting with C++ language , I want to be a backend developer , any community ? I would be so thankful if any body who are same like me let me in some of your communities

Excuse but In your opinion, what languages and frameworks do you recommend us to learn for getting remote works?. Have you ever study ethical hacking?

I have a python program/script that takes other ppl's github repositories and converts it into a single text file. It really helps!

They hired you because of your web development skills or your face?
Wow she's so beautiful, I could just watch her all day with audio muted 🤣🤣🤣
She is, yes but you're here to take in what she has to say and respect her expertise in the field the same way you would anyone else.
