    Hi Josh, neither 7971 nor 7975 do support real video. They support XML application upload which can provide series of PNG images to provide impression of video. This should be supported by both models equally, although this should be discussed with Cisco as we do not affect this from side of the intercom. For full video functionality we recommend using 9971 Cisco phone or 2N® Helios IP Eye application (is for free) and delivers pop-up window on a PC screen when intercom calls predefined station.

    Sure, this combination is supported. Please make sure to use correct video codecs and payloads, for CUCM please use H.264 with payload setting 99.

    Yes, 2N® Helios IP intercom is compatible with all four mentioned devices, as well as with CUCM 8 series.

    Yes it is! The call must be converted via CUCM as there is no option to connect 7925 and 2N Helios IP directly.

    No, our intercoms do not support 2-way video. We always assume, that the person inside the building has to see the person outside, but not vice-versa.

    Hi Bob,
    2N just successfully tested and verified Helios IP with CME 9.0 and CUCM 9.0 this week!
    In regards to Cisco SMB solutions - UC500 and UC300:
    As 2N understands it, there’s no support for adding 3rd Party phones or devices and an issue with not having CTI. There’s actually no way to install any other device then SPA300 or SPA500-phones over Network with GUI in a UC320W.
    The 500 series hasn’t been officially tested and there were no plans as it isn’t on the Cisco’s roadmap.

    Dear Mohamed, generally, there are two ways how to trigger the door lock using an IP telephone - configure HT TP command for a service button, or dial preconfigured number code on the keypad. Both options are configurable. For more details please contact your distributor who should be able to help you, or check the 2N product pages for Configuration manual. If you want to use the service button, you need to consult the manual or technical support for the Cisco telephone.

    Thanks it works now! I can see the video on the Cisco phone, but not on the intercom. Is there a model that supports 2-way video streams?

    we do the same using a URL service on the Cisco phone to trigger CPAM but we get an XML Parse error on the phone. How are you doing this without parse error?

    I have a model 9137160CKDU that I've been trying to work with CUCM 8.6 and Cisco 9951. The voice is there but video doesn't come through - I can see the stream on VLC though. Is the model and CUCM versions supported?

    According to CISCO 7925 datasheet there is no video support in that phone. Unlocking of the door should be no problem.

    Hi I have a setup with Callmanager Express 8.8 (IPPhone cisco 9951) with 2N Helios and its working fine for Video and Audio, Only problem is releasing the door with IPPhone. which settings should i change to make this work. Or is there a default key to do this. Really Appreciate your help

    9951 seems to support video OK. The settings which need to be observed are always considered against PBX, most probably CUCM in this case. When you have 2N® Helios IP correctly connected to CUCM, and 9951 correctly connected to CUCM, they should be able to talk.     Using this Ip Phone and Door phone. How can i open like Door? additional device for relay to open the door? or it is built in to 2N helios.

    Is it possible to share the configuration on the 2N intercom? I went to order one but they came back with a configuration sheet, just need a one button intercom to work with the Cisco 9971 IP Video phone for a University department, wasn't sure which license to select. I greatly appreciate any help possible!

      Basically for the intercom itself you don’t need any license to make a video call with 9971. Regarding the licenses on CUCM we are not able to tell - your Cisco distributor should be able to advice you.

      Unfortunately we are not familiar with any easy usable software. Most reliable, but time-consuming, would be comparing pcap captures from several points of the network.

      Should this be possible using the newer 8800-series Multiplatform Firmware phones, in particular the 8851? The 9971 is, at this point, EOL.

    I have Cisco 8945 VoIP phones & the Helios Force IP. I want to create a service in Call Manager, like shown in this video, so the person on the Cisco phone could press a button & open the door via DTMF. Can anyone provide information regarding the XLM file content that would make this work?
