It will be run in underload which is not recommended due to more torque required. Less 40% is underload consuming high fuel and more than 75% is overload, will also consume more fuel so safer range is 40% to 75% load on genset in term of efficient fuel consumption and also to avoid erosion in moving n mating parts of dg Best regards
20 rpm NAHI hota. DG normal RPM are 1500 and high upto 1800. It can control from AVR by resitting frequency at 50HZ if is is not adjusted to desire rpm, pls check governor functioning and also check fuel injection system thoroughly and calibrate if required. oil pump malfunctioning also shows this problem, check rotor chrome of pump as well Best Regards
Q1 Is this conversion factor of 0.26 ltr Per unit applicable to all Kinds of DG Sets ( Greaves , Ashok Leyland , Cummins ) Q2 How did you arrive at this conversion factor of 0.26 ltr/Unit.
85kVA = 68kW 85kVA DG will consume fuel as follows 17.68lires at full load 13.26litres at 75% load 8.84 litres at 50% load 7.07 litres in 40% load best Regards
There are many factors involved for less fuel consumption 1. DG working with in safe operating range i.e. 40% to 75% load. Beyond this range, will result more fuel consumption, erosion in moving parts etc. 2. Calibration of fuel injection system when required 3. Timely oil change as per recommended frequency of particular DG whatever it is. 4. Balanced connected load on three phases. Unbalanced connected load like phase one-100A, phase two-140A, phase three-90Amp which is not recommended so all phases load should be equally distributed like phase one=100Amp, phase two=100Amp, phase three= 100Amp 5. DG consume engine oil due to eroded rings, pistons, liners, valves etc. so DG should be got top end or major overhaul depending upon requirements Best Regards
It is not recommended to use any Genset on 20% load. safer range is 40% to 75% connected load on Genset and fuel consumption will be calculated as described in video. At 20% load, generator will run on underload ,will produce more torque resulting more fuel consumption as per recommended factor of 0.26 Best Regards

You are referring to assumption the DG is 100% efficient. If let says it is only 80% generating energy, then 0.26 liters / 0.8=0.325 liters per kWh. What it says, it consume more diesel just to produce 1 kWh electricity. Unless your 0.26 liter per kWh has already accounted for inefficiency. Load is only talking about how long it runs, not efficiency
I m not saying here that dg is 100% efficient. FOS of any machine is 20% as per gep. Dg assemler designs it on 100% load. But keeping overload n underload norms, it is more efficient at 75% load considering all balanced loads on three phases. It is just like the Car having 240KMH meter, cannot run on 240KMH constantly. So watch again this video carefully where at the end i addressed such issue Best regards
Very informative and also verified through IOT fuel monitoring solution.❤ Keep it up Sir❤
Thanks
Hello. How did you get the 0.26 liter diesel consumption factor. Please give that calculation as well. Thanks in advance

Hi sir 0.26 per kwh per diesel use hota he lekin 0.26 he kya he or kahase liya
I ưill upload complete calculations soon. Regards
@@mechanicalengineeringpract140 ok sir

Sir,koi v DG ho uska normal fuel consumption, 0.26 hi hota hai??
Yes in ideal conditions

If I run a 20kva diesel generator at 0%, does it use more or less fuel?

Q1 Is this conversion factor of 0.26 ltr Per unit applicable to all Kinds of DG Sets ( Greaves , Ashok Leyland , Cummins )
Q2 How did you arrive at this conversion factor of 0.26 ltr/Unit.
This factor is considered by any DG OEM manufacturer

what is kva. where to find kva
Kilo volt ampere.
Further, convertion from kVA to kW, we multiply 0.8 with kVA to obtain value in Kw
85 Kva Ka Kitna Disel Leta hai Is Bare me Mujhe Btaiye
85kVA = 68kW
85kVA DG will consume fuel as follows
17.68lires at full load
13.26litres at 75% load
8.84 litres at 50% load
7.07 litres in 40% load
best Regards
0-40% pe jyada fuel consumption kiun kartahe ?
Torque load is increased when we operate DG underload at less than 40%. In this case DG takes definitely high fuel than recommended

Sir load kaise pta kare ki kitne % hai
From ats panel , dg module or manually by mager, voltmeter
How come 0.26 Please let meknow sir.
It is factor which is used to calculate capacity of any DG while assembling by OEM manufacturer

But bhai 1 unit ko kese 0 .26 diesel consumption higa malum nehne hua pls thoda expelain kejeye
It is conversation factor which is taking into consideration while assembling of any DG by oem manufacturer

20% load par kitana consumer hoga
It is not recommended to use any Genset on 20% load. safer range is 40% to 75% connected load on Genset and fuel consumption will be calculated as described in video.
At 20% load, generator will run on underload ,will produce more torque resulting more fuel consumption as per recommended factor of 0.26
