I just watched this, quit my doomscrolling for the day and went outside. I met 2 boys who showed me a secret spot at a river where theres flowers and endless grass with sheep and ponds with baby frogs and even though we didn't speak the same language, I just had one of the best days in a few months. And the coolest thing is I didn't plan any of it

I've been keeping an almost daily diary for 6 years where I write down everything. I use it to vent about things that make me sad or frustrate me to get it out, but also all positive achievements. My advice is to mark the positive days with a colorful sticker or draw a star where you f. e. went on a walk and saw a cool bird or baked a cake. That way you don't just write down negative things all the time but see the positive days as an achievement and go out of your comfort zone just so you can write that entry that you'll look back on. Now I do things like swim in a cold lake at night wich is very very unpleasant because it's so cold BUT you look back and thing I did it, and when it rained after I was like "this is gonna make a sick entry" and walked in the rain for 2 hours back home lol. It makes you do things that you normally wouldn't.
Here are some examples and I live in a city with no friends:
You can go to Burger King at 1am and skateboard back home (I can't eben drive in a straight line but it's dark so who cares), you can go to a forest to collect mushrooms, build a forest hut from branches, take a bus to a random field and just watch the bugs, pick a flower bouquet for yourself, sit under a bridge and listen to the spring, play cards with yourself (solitaire), learn to craft stuff like origami or crochet, make little clay figures of your pets, paint your furniture, bake a birthday cake for your pet and eat it yourself, sneak into a movie theater, go to a local concert, talk to strangers on the bus like tell them that their dogs ears look goofy and both have a laugh, set off fireworks in the middle of nowhere, go to a playground at night and go on a swing, get drunk and have a concert at home, do things you would normally do at home in your bed like reading a book but do it outside on a tree or something. The list goes on. Don't let your location or stage in life or mental state define how you can enjoy life. Yes others might be able to do more fun stuff, but they don't appreciate it as much as you do. If there was an amazing red sunset every night, you wouldn't be as amazed as when it only happens twice a year. It will get better and life is just starting for you.

This made me realize that I'm not living for my days, I'm just living for my next weekend, my next break, but weekends are almost entirely homework and even when i am taking break the reality of school coming back still hangs over my head and homework never stops coming (i go to an extremely academically rigorous school). I'll have objectively good days where I'll have a good time with my peers and be in the beautiful outdoors but I'll only realize later. I never want to get out of bed in the morning, i never want to go to school even if being there is pretty good. I don't have the time to do these experiences, yet I don't have time for anything, including TH-cam, which I'm doing rn. I thought i was going to get distracted when i hopped on youtube but instead i got an existential crisis!

People think they need something to chase after and plan years ahead but once they achieve that goal they’ll just look for another project to consume their time, that feeling of dissatisfaction and craving stimulation will never go away

You're absolutely right! I realized these past few days that it's better to go out and explore things than spend time at home, like lying on the bed all the time and watching some productive videos that I still won't apply. Going out makes my mind and body stay present; it lessens my overthinking for the future; and the advantage is that I can create new memories and new discoveries. I'm doing my best to minimize my screen time and do something with what I have today. Big or small actions is still an improvement, one step at a time is an achievement. Have a good day! :)

You really helped me with this video I am 22 and really get obsessed with productivity and organize my life I did found the perfect routine and things and it's work great until I got burn out and realized that why my life is so boring like I wake up every day and it's the same I know I need to work work work and study exercise read books study again for my future success everything is great but... I have realize I am a human after all I have watch Ghibli's films stuff and wonder why my life doesn't feel adventurous like that there is no "Magic" of life like when I was a kid anymore where everyday was an adventure full of meaning and fulfilling feelings now It's mundane I feel BAD even though my strict routine is aim for the success but I am not happy at all this one opener my blindness to the life I am looking for just by watching this and imagine a new way to live life where my life is more balance by this video is giving me back the old feeling from childhood I guess that's excitement thankyou so much I am gonna visit my grandma soon her home really feel like Ghibli's movie too lol with this new perspective and the new way of this I feel very happy now thankyou

This is a great message, glad I'm on the right track. Im kinda famous at school for doing "Stupid things", but to me its just my way of doing what your saying. For example, things Ive done was....
    1. Drag all of the mulch into a huge pile at recess
    2. Smuggle grapes in my pockets out to recess and make my own raisins (They tasted pretty good)
    2. Crawl through miles of storm drains and tunnel systems
2.5. Sled down a frozen storm drain.
    3. Grow a radish in my locker (Used an artificial UV light)
    4. Finish lunch at school a minute earlier for a semester (I had to eat lunch in third period)
    5. Just riding my bike around other neighborhoods and finding cool bridges
    6. Making cringe TH-cam videos with friends. (My favorite)
    7. Going to the park and playing soccer
    8. Going to graveyards at night
    9. Wandered the woods at night (With friends, still terrifying)
    10. Literally got lost on purpose (On foot)

This is something I've tried to internalized the past few months. Sometimes all you really need is some variety. A variety of experiences goes so far on it's own that it honestly solves more problems than you realize. Every part of our body, including our brain, needs a varied diet.
I've always heard "go out your comfort zone" but honestly I never got that since I interpreted it as a phrase you tell people when they don't wanna do whatever your telling them to do (for me that's dancing, performing, cold approaching, etc.). Now that I know what I thrive on, it's made me feel a lot better

Love this video and can totally agree! 😁
For nearly 1 and a half year ago, I myself spend a lot of time on TH-cam, Netflix and playing videogames... I was so miserable and bored at my life. Therefore I decided to make a huge change. I wanted to show the world who I am and what I'm actually capable to do 😃👍
So because I had used a whole lot of time practicing singing acapella and have been training gymnastic for 15 years... I decided to participate in X-Factor in Denmark this year 😂
I made it through precasting and went to audition to sing infront of the 3 judges... But unfortunatly I didn't went further. Luckily my audition was so original and entertaining because I surprised the judges by making a backflip before singing, so I was shown on TV! 🤯
It has been an amazing journey and adventure, I love just being myself and do what I like in life! 😉👌

Good video bro. I think the message you've made in this video is one of the most important ones creators in this space need to start pushing. Just taking a small step out of your comfort zone isn't much, but when compounded every single day it'll really change your life.
Also the amount of editing you did on this video was really well balanced. Many creators in this 'self improvement' niche either do too many edits which takes away from the video, or no edits at which his just boring. Your flow and pacing of B-Roll works really well, and the video is easy to watch. Keep being consistent and your channel will go big, good job bro

I started studying at university in other city two years ago. I was very excited to see place around and live there.
Eventually I started spending days on simple sitting in room and brainless playing games.
And sometimes I realise that I came to this city not to play all day on computer and not only to study but also to experience new region, see new places and have fun with people.
Sometimes you don't really need a lot to have enjoyable life. Sometimes all you have to do is just go outside (even alone) and go to a park, a street or any other place where you've never been and experience it.

Suggestion: Graffiti. Combines exitement, adventure and creativity. And it gives you memories you will never forget.
First you search a Spot, that way you See a Lot of your City in New ways.
Then you do a lookout on one of These spots to See how many people are usually there how risky it is, or how to get there If it's Not easily accesable. And then comes the day of the piece maybe you want to do Something that fits that exact Spot or Just Something quick so you scatch everything out.
And of course (that's optional and I obviously dont ever do that) then you Go there and Put that piece to Work.
That's an Adrenalin Rush youll never get sick of.
And after that you can admire your piece a few days or maybe longer depending in the Spot.

any tips for women? I feel like men have such massive privilege for the freedom that they have to just go out and do stuff whenever they like :(
like rn I'm waiting for friends to text me back if they wanna go out tonight. but that's where I find myself all the time, waiting, waiting, waiting... it's definitely too dangerous for a young woman to go partying alone in a bigger city.
I'd love to travel the world! but as a woman I am just too scared to do that alone.
even to just go out for a walk in nature. it just happened a few weeks ago near the city where I live that some guy attacked a woman that was walking outside. I feel trapped...

Start training martial arts, BJJ or something. Find travel groups. Make friends that do cool stuff to encourage you until you feel confident enough yourself. Most of all, partying and going out is the number one thing you should quit. That's by far the riskiest activity compared to the other things you want to do. It might not seem like it, but if you get it out of your system sooner than the rest of your friend group, you'll start to see how sad it is for them.

I do not have time for this. I wake up at 6, go to school at 7, then I come back around 16. I have to do homework, read school books, tide in the house. I finish everything at 19 or 20. I'm going to work on the weekends now because I need some money for my personal spending, and I want money to make a driver's license.
I come from a lower-class family, and there's no way I could ask my parents to pay for the driver's license expenses. We have financial problems almost all the time.

I don’t go to school nor do I have a job but i’ve been trying to leave my house as much as I can but it’s hard to actually go outside and do things whenever I live in the middle of a desert. I desperately want to leave my house but my family isn’t exactly open to those opportunities. The most social interaction I get from people outside of my family are people online. This is life changing stuff that seems all too obvious. Here’s some ideas that came to mind:
. Spend as much time outside today that you did on your phone yesterday. Check screen time, set your goal then get out there! Time it or just let it flow. In one go or incrementally.
. Go sit somewhere and sketch what you see. (Tree, house, flower, people)
. Ride a bike around town after work (I haven’t ridden a bike in many years!)
. Play tennis at my local outdoor court (solo against a wall or just practice I guess)
. Paint a floral pattern at the top of my wall which goes round my whole room.
. Create a fly for fly fishing.
. Go visit one of those pop up sales/markets even for niche things like CD’s or vintage things.
. Wake up for the sunrise and drive/walk somewhere to see it.
. Learn the stars with Stargazing.
. Find somewhere to sunbathe naked.
. Build a den inside like kids do - or with sticks in the forest.
. Bake something you’ve never made before (tiramisu, doughnuts, cheesecake, chocolate fondue, etc).
. Host a fancy dinner for your family/friends/partner and do as many courses as you can.
. Go on a walk and you’re not allowed to go home till you’ve seen something specific (a breed of bird, a ginger dog, a couple holding hands, certain car etc) or done something (talked to a stranger).
    . Skim a stone.
. Go buy street food you never usually try.
. Go knock on the door of a friend’s house and just chat/hang out spontaneously.
. Play a kids game (blocky 123, hop scotch, jump rope, hide and seek).
. Listen in to a religious event (Sunday church, Buddhist meditation)
    . Repair something.
. Try to eat every meal outside in a day.
. Pick a bouquet of wild flowers. (Grasses, branches, and dry leaves can work too!)
    . Explore a bookshop.
. Go thrift/charity shopping and try to find gifts for your friends/family
    . Sing to the trees
Time for me to read everyone else’s comment for new ideas and hopefully go live some of that good life!

So true man. Lately I've been exercising my own version of this. I feel like once you develope a healthy, beneficial sense of free will, your whole world changes. Your entire life opens up. Life suddenly gains so much meaning. Something as simple as going outside and walking down the road for no reason. People get so stuck and imprisoned in their homes and rooms and gates, its almost like we forget that the rest of the sorld exists. And why not? Why not do That Thing. Why not go on a morning run, even if you've never even considered it before. Why Not spend that extra money to go see some live music, even if its not your favorite genre in the world. And as you excercise this mindset more and more, you build it up. Soon traveling overseas doesnt seem so scary and impossible anymore. Meeting new people, seeing new places, creating new hobbies.

I found funny how you just described my whole life these days. Watching videos, eating junk food and trying to find some motivation on "how to be productive" videos.
It's time to change, we never know what will be tomorrow. Thanks man 🔥

What he's saying is really true. I occasionally go wander around the town, find places i don't know yet, go into side quests, help the kids to reach their baloon they stuck up the tree, but I don''t do this often enough even though it is so enjoyable. Nowadays we don't do that enough. Thanks for reminding me that.
