"The future beckons and we can embark upon that journey as single nations or as a world in harmony. I say let the challenges of one people be the challenges for all nations. And in that way the success of one will be a success for us all." Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Brilliant Speech 77th UNGA God Bless Philippines. from Geneva, Switzerland

We need to allow 100% foreign ownership not only in 'public services' but also in 'public utilities'. This will speed up our economic development. Tens of millions of jobs will be created by this.

You might as well sell your country if you don't place certain controls and restrictions to foreign ownership of essential services, utilities and assets. What's preventing foreign investors from coming here are our corrupt gov't officials and bureacracy.

Really. As long as your electricity cost remains among the most expensive in Asia if not in the world, foreign investment would remain scant. Yes fastest in creating growth that does not produce many and quality jobs like manufacturing…

Rising salary is not the solution. Lowering cost of electricity will lower everything. Therefore will increase the purchasing power of the Filipinos.

Marcos is riding a train that leads to nowhere. Unless the Filipino toxic culture changes to reflect the issues he raises on this trip to the UN, his vision will fade like smoke in the once dreaded Smokey Mountain of Tondo. Many have tried before him, including his old man, but all have failed. Why? Because of the damaged culture of the Filipinos.
But, there is hope and it lies with the OFWs. Like him who spend most of their lives abroad, the OFWs have seen and experienced different cultures all over the world. They will be the ones to transform and repair the damaged culture of the Filipinos. If he can harness this force, the future is indeed bright!
The irony of it all is that his father enacted aptly on May 1, 1974, a Labor Code to promote overseas contract work first known as "Overseas Contract Worker". Many have regarded this as a milestone as it was the first time that the government turned the spotlight on labor.
"And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son."
