We do not mind spending $1000 on a new iPhone but a one time spending of half that amount can get you inverter generator, propane gas stove which can be very useful if you go on camping.
Canada is really bad with these things. They don't have power backup at mobile towers and there are no signals. Signals should not go unless there is damage to infrastructure of mobile towers. In US, once there was a huge storm and on my way back I saw traffic lights fallen on roads, boards and even trees fallen. But power was back within 6 hours. And the mobile towers work, you don't have signal issue.
This is funny u guy's don't even have a battery powered chargers. Do ur self a favour go and buy a couple of them and buy a portable heater. Keep everything charged for emergency all the time. Time to get smarter 😂😂😂 just buy a bbq u can use it to cook. 😂😂U can keep the BBQ in the garage.

Can't get over how people are making such a huge deal about the horrific weather of Canada!!
Also, did you all see how a drive from Ottawa to Brampton showed an amazing change in the scene..people (Indians too), are happy and thriving in their lives here 🇨🇦

I can understand your frustration guys but you cannot change the reality that Australia has beautiful weather and one can enjoy the outdoor activities throughout the year unlike freezing Canada -40 which is unsuitable for the human body.
