"Hit him when he's down." Oh, I dunno, try hitting him when he's down? "Yeah yeah we get the joke." No I mean literally. When he is down. Against the note blocks. When he's hit, he freezes in place for a moment, so if you hit him when he is pressing the note blocks down, his animation freezes, the note blocks come back up, and now when he moves he is BELOW the note blocks and will hit a P Switch underneath them. For the bomb level, mashing makes it impossible. The trick is to find a rhythm while spacing the fireballs out slightly. Since only two fireballs can be on the screen at a time, if you mash then there's a period of travel time between when the old fireballs hit and your new ones catch up to the bomb. It's difficult, but if you stagger your shots slightly to make an even, consistent volley, it keeps the bomb just high enough for just long enough.
I thought it gotta be ragebait because how can you not understand the instructions. I never played Mario Maker but i thought about exactly what you described on the baby bowser just by looking the video and seeing the setup.
wait did he actually just not get the bowser jr. one? I assumed he'd gotten the strategy that thought to use from reading something in chat, because how could you misinterpret that as that
As far as that one went, I didn't know what would happen but it was strange he never hit him when he was "down" (at the bottom). He noticed he could bounce Bowser Jr. in the "hurt" animation and fixated on that even though the bounce height didn't change or anything
The levitation one ... how did DGR not see that once the bomb go past 3/4 the angle no longer would be able to hit the bomb, he needed to step forward off the pipe at that stage so he could still hit the bomb? it didnt matter how fast or slow he hit it if the fireballs are physically unable to hit it once it got past that point, unless he stepped forward
Still the wrong answer. The right one was to slow down with the fireballs and fire with a consistent rhythm cause only 2 can exist at a time. No mashing just regular presses and the bomb would have stayed up long enough to explode.
0:55 i think it has something to do that block is part of the flag pole and that the other block is a regular stone-block .... maybe .... and a bit of karmeks magic? 😁
For the first one, if the magikoopa were able to transform the flag after death, then there would be no way to beat the level. This is likely not a bug and was specifically programmed in to prevent softlocks!
1:01 I believe that was because the koopas magic will make the flag disappear, but if the koopa is dead the flag will reappear and since it was already dead, the game just ignored the flag pole block
Honestly most of these "glitches" are mostly built in "error protection" by the developers to prevent items and characters from being stuck in walls...it just so happens that level developers have found every single "try" edge case that the developers both thought of..., or didn't and instead had a "catch" and "finally" for (programmers will understand) As a very terrible coder myself, I find putting a try..catch..finally around my entire main() function is my most successful solution 😂😂😂

I figured that was the solution to the bomb level. No matter how hard you mash there's never more than two fireballs on the screen at once

171 IQ doesn't know left from right....
Poor Yoshi! Happy belated Christmas y'all!
Hope Brian uploads the polar express playthrough so I can watch it
Pretty sure “Hit Him While He’s Down” involved hitting Bowser Jr. as he hits the note blocks and they’re bounced down.
5:22 my new ringtone.
For the bomb level, I think the problem is you were trying to do both fireballs at once. I think you're supposed to do it with timing, not mashing.
Ding ding ding!
3:35 DGR pulling a Wilson.
I love false dichotomy, it's much better than the other fallacy.

Yeah Kamek can't steal the flagpole if he's dead.

5:23 the krabby patty being introduced in the infomercial
Uno Mas videos are my favorite

I’m happy that I know the person who made a bunch of these.
5:14 _It just works™_
8:17 What sort of Chimney doesn't have a house?! Lazy designer should've made the starting area a little house.

19:05 I have never seen that version of the clown car what the heck
same, I guess the fire clown car & 30th Anniversary in one level just didn't happen that much back then?
SMM1 has been down for a long time, how is this video happening?
YoShi is in orbit now…
13:15 did dave just reference joji lol
DGR confirmed Joji fan? 13:15
how did he download the levels if the servers are gone?
You'd believe Yoshis can fly
Gandalf, not Dumbledore means that he (the magikoopa) will come back after falling off a ledge. Spoilers?
Why is it mm1?
9 yaers...DGR still doesn't know some of the game mechanics
wait why is this Maker 1?
also how did he download the levels if the servers are gone
A yoshi glitch how is that possible 😯
Really wish I could play mm1. Only ever got to play the 2nd one on the switch.
