We take a walk around the carbon fiber SW-51 Mustang. It is based on the legendary North American P-51 from World War II. The SW-51 has many modern features like a Rotax 916 engine, Garmin avionics, and a ballistic parachute system.

When I win the lottery I will buy one....
Just buy a real P51 if you win it big though
That aircraft with the Higgs Falcon V4 would be…unbelievable.
Needs a Merlin engine. Jon Kaase Race Engines builds Boss 429s and 427 SOHC engines for old muscle cars. Exactly like the very rare originals. Shirley it's possible to do the same with a legendary aviation engine.
The prop is small compared to the original.
Does it have AC
Yes it does, and heat
They need to engineer a bigger engine for this airplane
Why? Its performance looks fantastic with the 916iS. Why would you want to add weight for no appreciable performance gain?
Do you know anything about airplane design?
@@scarybaldguyRotax engines sound like lawnmower engines. A fighter replica must have a beefy engine sound like the original.
🤣
@@mmeyers111 My thoughts exactly. At least a continental six-cylinder, but bigger and louder is always better :)
Of course, I can't afford one anyway.
