Well shoot I have to wait till the snow melts here in Louisiana before I can go again we don’t know how to drive in that stuff like you just did lol Great video 👍
Nice pull, that's a pretty good load you got there. It seems like everything's still pretty tight. I believe it will open up more as you put miles on it. Nice vid 👍
From the hill probably worth a thousand feet tall Kansas there's some big hills come from down to The River to The River there's some big heels from overlooks the River valley
I have a 89 c2500 Silverado i have hauled 4500 lbs. Of cast pipe with it. The problem i have is with no trailer it's hard to find very heavy stuff to really use my truck to it's potential without a trailer, i can pack about 2000 lbs on it before it looks like a gigantic cartoon. I believe the load limit for my truck is somewhere around 4800 lbs
@jillphillips8117 look on Facebook, marketplace. I'm pretty sure you could find a cheap utility trailer. I see them often for only a few 100 bucks. I found one for my brother that just needed tires. It was a 6x10.
@Adventureswithmike1 I been scraping for 30 years and just have found it more of a pain to drive around scraping with it, I'm a maintenance man so we get a lot of scrap, and apts give me all there scrap as I do work for them as well, I used to stack stuff in back yard but it's to tacky so I turn in twice a week now Monday and Friday, I clean all brass and copper and most aluminum, I cut all tires off aluminum rims, I get them big motel size a/c units, I cut the sides off the radiators, I cut off all insulated wire, I even pull all gold plated pins and sell them on eBay, Jill loves to scrap too lol
No, it started snowing.I got everything I needed to get done yesterday so I could just sit back and relax.. Me and my daughter went out on the four wheelers in the snow and had a great time.. had to cut it short though, because I was running out of gas. Forgot to fill the cans up before the 👍
Man, the lower bed corner next to the lift gate makes the truck ugly. I get the factory bumper fills it normally, maybe they make an insert to fill that void, or maybe it's just me 🤷🏻♂️
Have you ever weight the trailer by itself cause when we were running the tractor trailer we would do the cab then pull ahead and weight the trailer so d o t don't go all crazy on us and are scales were certified by the state so what they say is true just be safe my friend i saw these people loading trailers with rock and fill to the top of side rails i called them some dumb m f they had one that couldn't dump another tipped over so what ever you put on your truck just watch how it sits and if you ever think you are close to the weight limit quit cause the d o t loves to nail people trying to make a living i have had my trucking company and had to be careful when we went to haul stuff off jobs and had to guess weight not fun im talking big dump trucks and a little about a single axle truck I owned i was out on the open road got it up to 88 miles an hour before the governor kicked in that thing had a 454 big block and could pull anything with it i could even turn over the tires in it then slap myself for doing it rear end rebuild by me five thousand dollars parts so you break it in you will notice a difference im sure sorry long post but just putting it out there have a good evening my friend waiting for next post and hope prices go up so you can get rid of the rotors thanks again Mike my friend
@KevinHarvey-qw5mj yeah, I know the exact weight of that trailer. The truck is new to me.So I don't know it's exact weight. Being that I added the lifgate and some other things. Problem is I am going to have to get my medical card and get some DOT numbers for my truck.
@Adventureswithmike1 how much weight can you haul use to be 26000 pounds before any of that stuff came into effect but been out of it awhile but at 71 still have my c d l they won't get that from me hell I went out and drove a truck back and in a couple hours made a couple hundred dollars not bad but do what you need to do back in the day the numbers were state then we had to put federal numbers on the trucks cause some were all over the country hauling stuff take care my friend and keep me posted on shit going on thanks again my friend
@KevinHarvey-qw5mj every state is different. The DOT officer that's really cool. Told me that in pennsylvania if your truck and trailers gross combined weight is over 17,000 you need medical card and dOT numbers.
@@Adventureswithmike1 sorry to hear that but better safe than sorry you know I have seen trucks without numbers and get pulled over all the time but put numbers on and should be good did they say fire extinguisher get one just in case that can be a couple hundred dollars fine and while you at it get some triangle flares just saying covering all the bases and you don't need any of this for your other truck did they say anything about inspection if so go to truck stop you can buy one are how many you want and inspect it yourself I'm just saying stuff I had to do for the trucking company so if you get everything but inspection like flares and fire extinguisher you got it covered and could save money in the long run cause you have pricks in the d o t are state troopers can pull you over and check you out thanks again Mike be waiting for next video my friend just some ideas that can save you money
@KevinHarvey-qw5mj yeah, I forgot about that fire extinguisher and triangles. I have both in my yellow F150. But with the new truck, I haven't put anything in there.Gotta make sure I have the right stuff

@@Kevin-z7d4x thank you.. everyone who sees it loves this truck.
I’ve been meaning to say in UK I’ve seen or heard of breakaway chains
I’ve heard these trucks get a little more power once you get past the 5,000 mile mark
Yeah, I noticed that about my Ford Trucks, they seem to run better as they get older.. maybe this one will be the same way
Go mike go..
