The Autocar is the only thing worth watching in that movie!
Acars hold a special place in my heart. As a youngster I road in a few Acars with drivers for a co. That only had Acars. Great trucks.
This is what you call a Monsterous & Heavy!!!! built beast. No macks don't count... I consider A-car one of them Pre-1985 Especially with the Construcktor!
Autocar made halftracks during WWII. Iv got one. A m15a1 anti aircraft multi gun carrier
I worked for Vigo truck center in 79 in Terre Haute IN, we were a white and freightliner dealer so I've worked on a lot of A64B models Autocar and mack R models were the primary trucks used in the coal hauling here in west central Indiana, loved this truck
The Mack Supedog and the Autocars are the most well build semi truck in the American history trucking
First truck I was on my own in was a 71 Autocar flat fender triaxle dump. She was a beast lighter weight than other triaxles in the company and just couldn't stop her. 220 n/a Cummins and a 13 speed double overdrive. Poor old girl was pretty worn out though, hard to make her run straight down the road
I don't know about the whole ask and receive? I asked for a OTR version of the new DC64, but they said they had no intention of doing one, that they were gonna only do vocational trucks with em. I think that you put a sleeper on one and it'd make an awesome OTR rig.
Especially a heavy haul / custom equipment carrier. I want on with an 9LL or a 3 speed second transmission. No luck. Guess I will keep running my 1980s through 2001 Autocars.

I don't think I have seen an AUTOCAR TRUCK since I was a kid. I thought they were out of business. This must be the only American owned truck manufacturer.
White Freightliner...White Volvo....White GMC....it's been a long time since White made anything of their own.
I learned to drive on a 1939 Autocar. Back in those days the position of controls was not standardized between manufacturers. The 39 Autocar had the accelerator and brake pedals reversed. The brake was on the right and the accelerator was in the middle between the church and brake.
My daddy worked on and rebuilt auto car trucks from wrecked ones and kept a fleet of AUTO CAR TRUCKS UP for TARHEEL BANANA CO. FOR 40YRS.When daddy died this man was *ucked! he was a mechanic we buried with a million dollar worth of knowledge on a 7 the grade education. Died from poisoning of benzene and other chemicals those MECHANICS BREATHE EVERYDAY. RIP daddy turning those wrenches in the sky 🕊️🙏
11. Autocar is pretty much the daddy of Soviet truck manufacturing. The first successful mass-produced Soviet truck model - the ZiS-5, is a licenced version of an Autocar truck. After WWII they just started copying American solutions without licensing. Take a look at the KrAZ trucks, which use an unlicensed copy of the Detroit Diesel 6-71 engines.

I never understood the Chevy BOWTIE. A real BOWTIE is smaller in the middle than the ends. The Chevy is opposite. How can that be a bowtie?

I always liked the "Rolling A" hood ornament Autocar used in the 50's and early 60's.
There is a red autocar in maximum overdrive
That black autocar at the end is not the same from movie OVER THE TOP....the one from over the top had a narrow hood...this one has a wider hood
I worked for a company that made concrete pipe they had a fleet of autocars from 1976 models to 2001 models they were real work horses
