    Jon's videos are crazy because the way he makes beats is so transparent even tutorial videos dont feel like they're as good at teaching. I've been watching videos like this for a couple years in an on again off again schedule and I've learned things in this last week I hadn't understood before

      I know whatchu mean. Other OT vids try to hard to be tutorials but they always come out as a boring, uninformative infomercial. With Jon's vids, we're just watching him work and do his thing, while learning the OT in the process.

    Jon needs to do a master class on this damn Octatrack already….I’m tired of rewatching the same vids to steal small bits of knowledge 😂

    • @jonmakesbeats
      @jonmakesbeats  2 ปีที่แล้ว +76

      I find practical application is the best way to learn something. Showing you examples over time is going to let the knowledge stick in your head a lot better than cramming all the ideas in one sitting. That being said I've definitely thought about it. Thanks for watching

    Lovin these vids. Would you say the octatrack is your fav hardware sampler? If you have one I’d be curious to see your workflow on an MPC since you make a lot of comparisons to it

    • @jonmakesbeats
      @jonmakesbeats  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'd be curious to get my hands on an older MPC again to do a video. I used to have a 3000 back in the day. I have an MPC One but man I'm having a hard time working on it. The workflow is pretty unintuitive to me.

  • @kostoglotow

    the more of these videos I watch, the more I'm convinced I need to start setting aside money to get me one of these OTs at some point. can't really vibe with the Maschine or the modern MPCs as they feel so computerish that I'd rather grab my laptop.
    I've heard these are b!tch to pick up and figure out, but I guess it really forces you to feel more and go by visual cues less.
    Anywho, awesome videos, what an absolute lance, uhhh... lad!
