Cirno Says Goodbye to Winter [東方 Touhou - Sprite Animation]

- Time is constantly flowing and that entails a change of season.
As usual in every winter, The Spirit of Snow, Letty Whiterock awakens from her long sleep to attend to her business, including spending time with an ice fairy who has established a fairLy close friendship. They have a good time for the whole season.
However, that living is temporary since once the winter is over, Letty has to go and start her deep sleep again until the next winter again.
The change from winter to spring attracts another seasonal living being, the Spring Fairy, Lily White. Ready to let everyone know that spring has indeed arrived.
On this occasion, Lily has witnessed the moment when Letty leaves, leaving Cirno in frozen tears.

Her hips enclosed by her skirt, just as everything else, such a shame from paradise and that's why we have faith and imagination. In the cold unforgiving winter, she is but a lovely fertile cabin with a fire-bursting chimney.

As someone from a country that only experiences 2 seasons, this being 5 months of Summer and 7 of Winter but without snow only rain, more rain and even more rain (floods are rather common from what i heard) what does both Spring and Autumn feel like?
Is Spring like Summer but less hot?

I think we live in the same place with a difference of 8 months of summer 3 months of winter with moderate rain and 1 month left for spring and autumn to share
Spring is probably the closest thing to a “comfy” season. The temperature is just right, the atmosphere is peaceful, the scenery is beautiful, and when it rains, you can stay indoors and listen to it “fall”;) (unless you have school/work/etc)
Fall is like spring but colder and less peaceful, also the rain makes you feel in danger (aka you’re always in danger)

1:24 You know I never get why Yuuka is the "representative of summer" in modern fan works as it creates a rather skewed power dynamics. Letty is a stage 1 boss, the Aki sisters are a stage 1 miniboss and boss, Lily is a stage 4 miniboss which is equivalent to a stage 1 or stage 2 boss, and then you have Yuuka who is almost certainly stage EX boss, making her among the most powerful characters in all of Gensokoyo. This makes a bit of sense back in the day when she was the only real contender for summers representative, which unlike the four devas of the mountain or the sages of Gensokoyo for whom can be comfortably ignored thanks to the fact that the groups don't suffer without full representative, you kind of need all the seasons accounted for so that characters can represent them. However nowadays we have a much better option in Eternity, a stage 1 boss that fits right in with the others in terms of power and whom does not create a political imbalance between the seasons. But what do I know, it seems most people don't want to explore Gensokoyo surprisingly deep political games that allows Gensokyo to exist without major bloodshed over who controls the all import resource of the human village, and instead use it either as a platform to prop up their favorite character/OC as the most powerful person ever or as a playground for character gags and humor without any real culture.
