- In this video, I make a Splatoon 3 poster in Source Filmmaker. It's a little bit different though, I made an octoling version of Shiver from Deep Cut!

The idea behind this is so cute! I can see some of the improvements you’ve made since your previous posters, very impressive! One idea is a poster with two idols from different groups hanging out together.

Radius slider is actually better for realistic shadows since shadows irl gradually get softer the farther away they are from the ground and light source.
The only downside is that you need lots of render time because the quality depends on how much samples you're using.
Gonna experiment more with the radius next time

As someone who is into Photography and Camera, I must say your scene composition is great! The tables and chairs help with framing, Shiver and the fan sit comfortably in the rule of thirds, and the tree in the back really adds to the background without taking the eyes off of the main attraction.

Normally, the shadows are very blurry, but there's a setting to unblur them. If you do that, you will start seeing the pixels. To have the shadows sharp and not pixelated, you can increase the shadowmap resolution with that launch option command.

Hey! Love your videos! How do I scene build, where do I find the floors and tables and stuff in the workshop?
How do you remove the grain from the octolings nose? Whenever i make a poster there is always grain on the noses of the octolings and i always have to edit it out in post.
If you right click on the viewport(aka screen) and select render settings. Then to the right of depth of field where it says # samples, change it from use camera settings to 1024.
If you then switch to clip editor and wait, you'll see that the grain disappears. And also if you export the poster, the grain will also be gone.

@@Faloliver It’s what i typically do but there’s still the harsh chunky shadows on the nose. Removing the AO removes the shadows but from the entire model. When you are in post do you smooth out the shadows of the nose on the octoling model or when you put in the shadow resolution “command” does that help with the shadows on the models face?

Do you know how to fix sfm from not opening or exporting as a black screen with sound
For the black screen with sound when you’re exporting your poster, do it as a movie and click custom image. Rather than movie or sound.
I need help my sfm keeps closing I can’t find the problem
So quick question: I just installed sfm today cuz I wanna try making some Splatoon related sfm stuff if my own but some of the models that I imported from the workshop have missing textures. Is there a way to fix this issue?
Try unsubscribing to the model and the resubscribe or try uninstalling sfm and reinstall.
