The expectations that Denbrock is some miracle worker are hilariously. Circumstances must be taken into consideration, especially when emotions are involved.
I think people expect improvement to be instantaneous. Everyone on the offense is learning a new system, even the players that have been there in past years. On top of that, we're running with a QB that didn't get to practice it until fall camp 😂 Right now, everyone has to think too much. It's not natural yet. Once they have a firm grip on the offense, they can fly around and be more aggressive. Less MAs and greater confidence in decisions. That only comes with time.
You seem really optimistic on Riley's arm talent. The only problem is aside from a handful of passes this season his accuracy just isnt there and he either doesn't see or completely misses wide open recievers. Seems too late in his football career to our of nowhere develop accuracy and be able to spot open recievers. I always say the coaches know best but this year it seems that they spent this money on Riley and need him to become what they thought he would be or they'll upset the people whos money was blown on a running back we decided we'd try to teach how to throw.
Realize they are a running team first? Go watch Vandy last week, they probably showed 30 diff Off formations. What does the ol same old OC coach do? My clipboard says shotgun, RPO, etc.
I'm still waiting on Mike Denbrock to show up. Which MD is going to show up???? The MD was horrible with Tyrone Willingham. The MD that got fired by Brian Kelly. The MD at Cincinnati. The MD that's receiving way too much credit for LSU Jaden Daniels' superior athletic ability. I'm rooting for MD, but i would have enjoyed MF first choice, Andy Ludwig.
@GavinSchmavin44 I know he was a position coach under TW. One of the main reasons TW was fired is because he refused to replace his horrible position coaches. I didn't say MD got BK fired at Cincinnati. I said BK fired MD as the OC at ND.
Military Academies! ND can lose to anyone on their schedule. But hey, Stanford is the real Game One. New OC. New WRs. New QB. Leonard had now gone through his Spring Ball with his new team and OC. Does anyone know who is now playing OL for ND! Anything less than 7-0 the rest of the way will be a disappointment. (For Most)
