  • In this cozy garden episode, we will be doing a little reset while we plan out what to grow in Spring. We will start with an August garden tour of the lovely vegetables and flowers I'm growing in containers this month in Melbourne.
This includes some lovely leafy greens, carrots, snow peas, beetroots, poppies, tulips and my lemon tree.
We do a cleanup and remove the old marigold plants to free up some space for new spring seeds to sow. Along with finding some pesky leaf miners that had caused damage on my lemon tree.
After a good prune & a clean up of the balcony garden, we sit down to start discussing what's next. I share how I plan out my garden for the next season, and work out what seeds to sow and seedlings to plant.
I'd love to hear what you think of this episode and thanks for watching - It means so much as I am still learning on my TH-cam journey.
Please comment and tell me what you're growing in the next season (Spring for the Southern Hemisphere). If you live in the Northern Hemisphere you will be shifting to cooler weather so I'd love to hear what that means for you.

I'm still getting used to my new home, and this winter I didn’t get any sun on my balcony, just indirect light. Only now in August has a small ray of sun briefly touched the spot in the mid of the day. I still don’t know how much sun it gets here, so I'm uncertain of which plants to get for the new garden. I’m also worried about the heat in the summer, which has been getting worse by the year. Thank you for another video!

It’s always tricky learning where the sun will go in a new home. It’s interesting though because in winter my balcony garden only gets minimal direct sunlight on the plants and some don’t get any direct (the potatoes). So I wonder if you could test out growing a couple of shade loving plants in the meantime. Or would you rather plan it all out once you’ve got a better idea of the sunlight season by season? Thank you so much for watching and your lovely comment! Means so much when I’m starting out on YT to know someone enjoys the content ☺️☺️
