Love this video, it’s so hard to find this “category” of perfumes really! I LOVE sweet gourmandish fragrances but I don’t want to smell like food! And so many gourmands are very nice but I want the scent on my plate and not on my skin. Burberry Goddess is the perfect example of a perfumey perfect gourmandISH sweet scent for me 😍 Valentino DBIR is also like that.

I ordered a decent of Teisenddu and when I sprayed it on the test strip I wasn't impressed, so I put it in my giveaway pile. Fast forward to a week later and I'm watching another video of someone raving about it, so I sprayed it on my hand and I could not stop smelling myself. It's on my Christmas Wish List and I cannot wait to wear it in the colder months!!!! I'm so happy I gave it another chance! If it weren't for you and other fragrance reviewers I wouldn't have ever known or thought to give a sniff to so many amazing fragrances, so Anne thank you sooooo much and Fenix too for turning you on to this one!!!!!! ❤️

Ambrosia Imperial is top 2 for life for me! It’s different but stunning! It’s gourmand without being food like! It whiffs off the skin so beautifully! I’ve gotten so many compliments from this fragrance and k hope to never be without it

Oh I love this video. These are my types of fragrance “gourmand that don’t literally smell like food”. I bought Mandorle because of you and it’s still my favorite Sora Dora fragrance. Velvet Tonka is my favorite tonka fragrance, even just smelling it from the bottle gives so much comfort. 😊

Subshine woman is stunning i own it too! Celeste is gorgeous you explained it perfectly! I get even a better candy violet from dama bianca but celest is still great the dry down is pure Bianco Latte on me. I just smelled cherry punk and i love it i dont you haven't mentioned it. havent tried mondorle

This video is so timely. My wife loves gourmand fragrances only in Fall/Winter and has all the big hitters. The only fragrances she's missing are those that literally smell like food (e.g., Panettone, Lira, Chocolate Greedy, Symphonium). I wanted to move her more in the direction you're talking about in this video so I recently picked up Starlight for her...a touch of gourmand but not smelling like a food item. I'll definitely check these others out as well. Stellar video!

How did you know I needed this video?? 😘 I really enjoy gourmand *touches* in a fragrance but I'm not trying to smell like lemon meringue pie or a vanilla cupcake with caramel oozing from it. I want to *eat* chocolate, not smell like it. So I really appreciate these suggestions! Ambrosia and Demi have been on my Sniff List for ever and a day (Well, since I heard about them anyway!) I have Sunshine and while I've never thought of it as having gourmand touches, I realize it definitely has a place on this list. It is one of my "make me cheerful when I'm not feeling it" fragrances. 😊

@@AnneLauren makes sense! This new version of LVEB looks like it doesn’t have the orange blossom so I wonder how different it is. Notes on fragrantica are top notes of frankincense, red fruits and bergamot, middle notes of iris pallida and damask rose, and a single base note of oud… I’m curious about it because it’s so different from the OG! And the bottle is gorgeous.
Anne, since you love Bora Bora so much, I think you might rally fall in love with Isles Lontaines by keiko Mecheri. Have you ever tried that one? I highly recommend it. also lush, creamy, floral scent, I like Bora Bora (especially in the opening), but I prefer Isles Lontaines. I prefer it over Oud Jaune as well btw. Give it a try if you haven't already.

I gotta say, I wasn’t into ambrosia imperiale initially but it has grown so much on me! And I totally agree with you, the performance is so much better after a few months. So good for fall!

BDK Velvet Tonka is exactly the same as Commodity Milk on the dry down. VT has a strong marzipan opening, but I promise you, it’s Milk after an hour.

sometimes I only do a skim through your videos because certain perfumes are just not accessible in my country and it’s kind of frustrating when I try to hear what you say about a specific perfume but I can’t even follow the description just because it’s not in order and I have to spend so much time skipping thru your vids… time stamps would be nice too 😊

to be honest I haven't smelled a photorealistic donut fragrance! The closest I'd recommend would be Giardini di Toscana Bianco Latte, Eau d'Italie Morn to Dusk, House of Sillage Hufflepuff, & Goldfield & Banks Silky Woods (I know there's wood and suede in it, but people tell me I smell like powdered sugar donuts when I wear that one, the vanilla pulls that way on my skin, but I'd sample it first to see if it pulls gourmand enough for your liking :) Also, I haven't tried them, but I've heard great things about Kyse Perfumes for people who love photorealistic gourmands. They have fragrances like Gateau De Carnaval (inspired by funnel cake) and Delizia Di Marshmallow ❤️

So yesterday I went on a perfume smelling trip ( sadly my mall sucks ha ) i did finally smell angels share ha yes I’m LATE! And I loved how the cinnamon smelled but the apple hit me and ehh I didn’t like it or the alcohol 😢)

Oh I tried Burberry Goddess yesterday and finally Libre ….I think my nose was overwhelmed ? It’s def just nice! Ok wow Libre ( I’ve had the Zara dupe for a while which is cute but I kept thinking this is too sweet the real libre can’t smell like this and I wanted to try libre le parfume well I did AND ??? It was horrible they all smelled the same to me way tooooooo sweet! I was totally bummed I thought I would like this one and nope nothing sexy just sweet was all I got 😢 I loved Tom ford noir tho wow can you tell I have not been out

Anne, have you compared Minuit et Demi to Penhaligon’s Changing Constance? People say they’re very similar, but im suspish.
The opening is very similar to MED, too similar to have both imo. But the dry down is different, still similar, but that caramel really warms up. It’s warmer, sweeter, and more gourmand than MED, where MED has more of a spicy, coffee, woody presence. It smells amazing but it has horrible performance
Anna what are the difference between Celeste and Bianco latte? I'd like to know your opinion because I want something that smells different but delicious and I just found opinions about Bianco latte but not a lot about celeste
they're quite different, Bianco Latte is a sweet, airy, caramel/vanilla/musk gourmand

I simply do not understand the perfume industry anymore I am 70 and grew up wearing scents like Nina Ricci and Shalimar Givenchy etc... all enhanced a woman's feminine assets, but today, along with woke depravity- the industry seems to be catering to gender fluidity and women smelling like men and vice verse. So sad....Hope things return to the days when we women embraced being women
I hope not, finally I found scents I actually like as a woman. I have tried the ‚female‘ scents and most of them I hated. My grandma liked these fragrances, and now a lot of them smell too outdated for me anyway. I love the diversity the frangrance industry became. For me Shalimar is one of the worst smelling perfumes I’ve ever smelt.
