The Reason the radar wouldn't track or interrogate was because I had my elevation control all the way down which is also a control I use for Throttle on the Huey...Lesson Learned!
Way too twitchy for me. 0, 100, 10, 50 worked a charm - slow and accurate

NOTE: Make sure your Antenna Elevation Controller in the middle of the screen to get the lock!

Hey G, missed your note but yes, in theory...have to see if the sensor uses the default TDC slew controls or has it's own Axis Command section.

Which setting is it in the options to set the tdc select once over the radar dot? Mine doesnt seem to lock onto the target?
For me in the Hornet it shows up as (Throttle Designator Controller - DEPRESS). Hope this helps!

:) This was just a demonstration of the TDC curvature settings, in combat I usually turn RADAR off to be surprised.
Not all heroes does not wear capes, some wear JHMCS.

I have an X-56 set up and I have don that for my F-18 and I love it but I can't do it with my F-16 for some reason, while it works for the radar, if you use it on the TGP, it screws everything up so I have to use a different set up, and it ticks me off when I switch planes. I do hope they fix it.
@@AIRWARFAREGROUP That's how I learned it was messed up, I was having a heck of a time and it wasn't working and I watched Cap's vid and only then did I realize it wasn't me. I have the Logitech version, but I think the software carried over. It does create issues when you're used to flying one and then switch over to the other. I try to keep them as close to each other to protect that muscle memory.

I have a similar curvature and saturation for X and Y, but I had to put in a much larger dead zone to really get the TDC working great. The problem with the TDC axis on the Warthog is that is super sensitive. I found that when I had a smaller dead one around 25, the TDC would get a lot of false readings where I was intending to push it right and it would read up, down, or diagonal right.
The biggest problem with having a smaller dead zone, it because the TDC is so damn sensitive, whenever I depressed the physical TDC on my Warthog to select a target, the TDC in the aircraft would always register a movement in one direction or another, along with a depress, so sometime if it’s registered the movement before the depress, the cursor would move off the target before it was selected.
By adding a 60 dead zone, the TDC only registers once I have pushed it significantly in one direction. With a dead zone of 60, the TDC in the F/A-17 never responds differently from what I’m doing on the physical TDC on the Warthog and I still have good fine control of the cursor. The TDC no longer registers movement whenever I depress it to try to select a target.
I might try your bigger dead-zone tip...sounds worth a test!
How I resolve my problem with wathog tdc?
Do a second key binding for TDC with modifier key. Setup this second binding with flat curve and large dead zone.
For big movement use TDC (without modifier key).
For little movement use TDC (with modifier key).
There is also a mod for the warthog slew.(replacement control) Helps a lot, but is expensive. If you are a AG pilot it will help you a lot.
That's a nice MOD, I have one friend who ordered it, but tried my settings first, and ended up sending the MOD back for a refund. I have another friend that switched over to the MOD with the surgery required on his HOTAS and he likes it just fine. When I flew the F-16C and F-15C SIMULATORS in the USAF, I liked the realistic SLEW.
@@AIRWARFAREGROUP Before the mod I also changed the slew axis. Also added a deadzone. The mod I used only required opening the throttle en Comes plug and play. But yeah expensive.
No experience in any yet so no knowledge how it should work. Only how I like it :-)

Great...did you find it super-smooth and easy to use too? Everyone I've shared it with said it worked like perfectly. One guy bought the TDC Slew hardware MOD and hadn't opened it...after trying these settings, he mailed the MOD kit back for a refund. ~JUICE

Glad I could help! Honestly, everyone that tries this with the TM Warhog gets it to work perfectly...one guy even had the hardware MOD and he decided not to change it after we showed him this. How did it turn out for you?

@@AIRWARFAREGROUP I ALMOST got that mod. But I wanted the thing to work correctly, as is. The settings work great. I experienced some drifting before, and it was tough to nudge the thing over when viewing through the targeting pod. Works like a charm now!
