- Special version of Jenny of Oldstones song, from Game of Thrones season 8. I mixed all the, in my opinion, best parts from all versions together into one and added some piano. I also made a high quality slideshow with fitting pictures. Unfortunately there is still no clean or studio version of Podrick's song.

People can criticize the hell out of season 8 but, damn, photography and scenography were SUPERB.
People dont generally criticize that. Its on par with big movies.
Those were the only good things about season 8. We the fans had a problem with the POOR WRITING.
@@matthewaguirre2000 you know... the long night lol. Jokes aside, everything important was completely visible in ep 3. What could keep a shadow effect was used as such. I guess it was a bold cinematographic choice not everybody could agree with, but I personaly was astonished by the visuals of that episode.

But people change and it is said if they repent and remorse their sin, they're washed away. Perhaps that why Theon appeared a good person after he was tortured and became Reek. Like Jaime, perhaps. A good man can turn worse and a bad man better. Daenerys was the mother and as good a person as they could wish, but in the end the turned evil all the same.

It was quite the ride, flaws and all.The commitments on a scale never seen for a TV show before.
The most powerful part of this scene while Podrick is singing, is that short moment of Theon and Sansa looking at each other. They went through the most and were there with each other breaking free. Big time goosebumps just typing this.
Theon had one of the best arcs in the whole series. He started as a stark, and ended as one
totally agree. Don't care about Arya & Gendry, Sam & Gilly, Missandei & Grey Worm... In this scene, they really are the best ones! And Sansa really loves Theon, in some way...
The picture of Dany crying over Jorah in that part of the song makes it seem so much emotional 😭

Everyone done their jobs properly, except the script writers.
Grrr, those last two episodes were killing me. As well as wasting nearly every single female character: Sansa suddenly feels that getting raped made her stronger (WT.?), the perfectly awesome Brian is down to crying like a High School ditched by her crush, Dany's main motivation is otherwise turning into the Mad King in a dress, and Cersey, who is certainly a monumental bitch but always had a spine of steel, gets no better ending than hiding in the cellars.
One of those I could have understood, all of them together?
I'm a little bit disappointed the female cast didn't gang up and strangle the writers.

Ramin Djawadi is it great composer, he's such a young guy and his career is just really getting underway. He's already won two Emmys and a Grammy. I hope in time they release the complete scores box sets for each season!

season 8 of game of thrones failed expectations on everything i know what you mean they go from pods version but then have Florence and the machine sing the entire version....... no pod or nothing literally the only thing i will praise season 8 for is this song the only thing.

Yeah that would have been a great ending probably the best
my biggest gripe from a story perspective was that the night king was not the final villain when he clearly should've been.
Whatever season 7 and 8's flaws had been up until that point, I was so sure I'd be suffering a lot of heartbreak when Pod started singing. It was the perfect setup for a desperate battle and the perfect preemptive sendoff for some well-loved characters. It would have been a great way for the show to find its teeth again. I thought at least Jon would get a mutual kill, dying while putting Longclaw through the Night King's heart.
Well. I certainly got my heart broken.
That was my preferred ending. Hell, the actual ending would have been ok with another 6-8 episodes. Oh, and a non-ninja Arya. Gah I hated her character from start to stop and yet they made her one if the top heroes.

Game of thrones will never be forgotten, only such a shame that the series ended after 5 seasons.
And we shouldn't forget about the superb actors' performances! They were not just credible but excellent. We can see them truly struck by the the fact that this is the end and how much they had loved the series.I adore all of them. There performance means to me a great deal.
Seasons 1-8 might have ended but they will always exist for us to enjoy. The best drama, music soundtracks, acting & overall entertainment will remain with me until I cease to exist. Simply brilliant in my humble opinion.

Just finished the whole show after being addicted, invested, toyed with, taught, and left in awe. This is the best show ever had made with so many lessons and truths. And a hard realistic ending. Thank you GOT I’ll forever pledge. TO DANY, TO AEGON, THE FALLEN…FOR THE NORTH!!

realistic? brother we were not watching teh same show a massive zombie horde with a zombie dragon kills literally every single person and when all is over a tiny ninja kills the night king and everything dies next epsiode everyone that died didnt really die they were just tickled to the ground and couldn't get up from all the dead bodies.......... oh and dany just forgot dany goes ape shit crazy and murders all those innocent simply because she forgot?

@@whit3139 Man, when Podrick sang that song I was trying to get myself ready for a big sad, epic, glorious deaths, but shame I got my face smashed with disappointment and frustration. And the battle was strategically awful, any grown up man would have planned it better.

For me Podrick sings about the show itself here...She needed at least another two seasons to tell her story. The plot points itself made sense, it was just rushed and therefore hadn't the impact it needed. She never wanted to leave...

Oh my gosh. Thank you so much for releasing this version. I spent about 5 minutes purely freaking out about how beautiful this sounded. The addition of the violin version and the piano leading into the Florence + the Machine version was so beautifully done. I downloaded within minutes so I can listen to this on repeat because I love this so much. Best version it is. 🥰💘💕

Game of Thrones ended for me in Season 8, Episode 2. My imagination finished the rest of the story.
Jon becomes King in the North or just King of the Seven Kingdoms, or maybe he dies as Azor Ahai, collapsing from injuries after slaying the Night King in a brutal battle against the odds, Daenaerys does not go sicko mode on King's Landing and instead she becomes a decent queen, it is revealed that she was pregnant with Jon's child, the child would be named Aegon VII, or maybe Aemon.

Daniel did such an AWESOME job. This was one of the best parts of the season, along with Brienne being knighted by Jaime. It was perfection. The rest of the season, not so much.

I’m a 26 year old guy and I cried too. I’m for certain that we aren’t the only guys who cried. The music is so emotional. Pair that with emotional scenes and let the water works begin haha. The final scene of Jon saying goodbye to Sansa, Arya, and Bran gets me every time. If it wasn’t for my own family, I definitely would want to be part of the Stark one haha.

They think that it was Rhagar who wrote the song and it was this song that made Lyanna fall in love with him. I could see why a mere girl could fall in love with the singer of this song.

This song brings tears to my eyes every single time I listen to it. I fell in love with this song when Pod first sang it the night before the Long Night. Epic.

Ned never spent as much quality time with Arya as the Hound did. And never would have, even if he wasn't killed.

Ok here's my take on it: Podrick singing makes it seem like an old folk song while Rachel makes it sound like a dirge.
It's the difference between "The Rains of Castamere" sung normally and the way Sigur Ros sang it during the credits of the Purple Wedding episode.

@@onurbuyukcanavar2498 for me the show is ruined i tried to go back and watch it but becuase of how bad the last 2-3 seasons are i just cant until they re do the ending its just no point oh so all this beautiful and amazing story happens yeahhhhhh but dany just forgot oh and teh entire time you watch theres no mystery about the night king the whole time im watching the first scene in season 1 im screaming just kill the night king literally "NO ONE" can kill him which means every fucking cunt with a stick could kill the night king the scene where bran becomes the three eyed raven why doesnt bran just 1v100 the night king he literally has the power to do so or why doesnt hodor just duck? the whit walkers and walkers dont have eyes they cannot see anything so why is everyone so worried about the dead they literally dont do a single thing so whats the point in showing the night king i never knew how much an ending could ruin a movie/show but holy shit.
