I am a trucker that carries HVL all the time and after seeing videos of some brothers getting jacked on the highway I am definitely getting this.
Sad times we live in
@prametrathva7323 The more immigrants will come illegally, the more crimes we will have.
Can you guys do a test on a ballistic gel dummy with the bones and fake organs, reason being while I’ve seen videos of what your vest can handle I’m more interested in what happens to my body if I’m hit granted I’d rather have a broke rib than be dead but if I can avoid both that would be nice
Everything is a trade off. You can not suffer the broken rib and wear 25lbs of bulky armor that you would probably wear less often
Even with more padded ones, you get broken ribs and blunt force trauma.
Still better than get directly shot. It is a mitigation of damage, and definitely better than nothing, but you can still die from collapsed lungs, tearing of organs and so on. It all depends on the caliber, acceleration and distance
The guy laterally just said he understands your gonna still get hurt but would like to see a test. Why are y'all so redundant
@@pepperachu there is a big difference between vest testing, back face clay tests and the human gel dummy’s because the vest may stop the bullet but the impact can rupture organs, cause internal bleeding or break bones that’s the thing we need to see because some vest are better at mitigating those types of injuries
I might be "some guy on the internet" but I truly never understood why not design such a light-weight armor to cover a larger area, like the sides and shoulders. Even the posterior-side of arms. Wouldn't that be a dream for any (high-profile) security guard?
I'm waiting for FRAS side armor 6x6 and 6x8 👀
Di you plan on making this in a white version at some point?
White hasnt been very popular so it hasnt been a major priority but we can!
What about tie-dye? Hippies need protection too!🤣
That’s racist
It is great that you can prevent penetration of a bullet. However it appears that the imparted energy will still cause damage as imparted energy seems not to be addressed. One would still receive damage to flesh and bones due to the proximity of the force not being spread to a larger area not backed by cushioning..
I have a silly question for silly reasons. Would TSA detect this when going through a flight? Planning to go to the US in a couple of months and i wanna bring one or 2 back home. I don't wanna pay extra for luggage fees so im thinking of wearing this through the flight lol
I don’t think it matters just wear them, but it is a felony in America to wear 2 pair of underwear at the same time
I wouldn't recommend that. Something about this raises all kinds of flags. And, I'm just a guy sitting here reading your comment. TSA will probably have a lot of intensive searches and questions.
You aren't able to leave the U.S. with it unless you have ITAR/EAR approval paperwork.
If you upsize the vest, Could you ICW whole panels of Hyperline and FRAS to get SLD's awesome wrap-around covers for 308/54R instead of the Panel/Plate localized protection?
You definitely can!
Exactly what do I need to make this stab resistant? May have to return for safety flaw
@@jerman5424 Theres definitely no safety flaw and Hyperline performs exactly as intended. Hyperline was not designed to be stab resistant as that requires the addition of more material and the combination of ballistic and stab armor is very uncommon. If you would like we can make a packet of stab resistant material that could go in front of your panel to achieve an NIJ stab rating. It wouldnt add on too much weight or thickness. We also have our iiia+ which provides bullet, strike, slash, stab and taser protection on its own but it is about twice the thickness of Hyperline.
@@jerman5424 I was asking from a FRAS base standpoint(which already has pretty considerable stab resistance, from ice picks to Pick axes for the love of god lol) and more concerned with combining the Protection level boost, with the coverage area. The Traditional-sized ICW FRAS Plates/Hyperline stack to cover the vitals is nice, but FRAS beats Traditional rifle plates by having Soft armor coverage and flexibility. While beating other soft armor by having higher levels of protection. I was asking if they'd fit in an upsized carrier to match the Fras/Hyperline high-powered rifle protection level with the full FRAS soft armor-like coverage.
The combination of the FRAS and Hyperline has so much potential. I'd love to work with it, I have so many ideas for how they could be used to expand traditional protection.
How about backside?
How much?
By it being so thin will it absorb the blunt force well?
Yes it does an extremely good job of mitigating blunt force! The NIJ BFD's are in the low 30s making it better than most much thicker and heavier armor on the market!
@@SafeLifeDefenseBodyArmor have you tested it on someone?
How much is it
i'm taking it wont fit the 3a+ plates? looking for a vest that's not as thick as the one I got with my 3a+
The Hyper concealable only fits the Hyperline panels at this time. The fit it perfectly tailored for that model. The thicker iiia+ panel throws it off. Some people do get it one size larger than their panels but it isnt a perfect match.
Will won’t help against a knife? I purchased it anyway but am disappointed- my boss won’t pay for anything that doesn’t cover handguns & knives. Any advice?
Most armor protect against slashes, but not perforations with knifes. Unfortunately, so far just metal and ceramic ones does, like riveted chainmail and metal plates, or ceramic body armor. Other body armors can protect to some degree, but in theory, Perforations from knifes can pass (although they are harder do perform than without the armor)
What's that song?
That's what I wanna know!
Male version of sanitary napkins/pads
Lmao
I have Large in hoodies and shirts, but when I use the "Find your size" for body armor on your website, it says I need a vest in size XS. Is this really correct? Seems like it will be very small for me if I have Large in ordinary clothing?
No worries you can trust the size finder. It has no relation to your regular shirt sizing. Weve put a ton of research into our sizing methods and it is about 95% accurate. If by any chance the fit isn't perfect we will take care of it with free exchanges!
@@SafeLifeDefenseBodyArmor Sounds great, but I live in Sweden, is it free exchanges internationally?
Do you guys sell in Mexico? I have a very hard time finding quality gear here and this seems to be a perfect solution for everyday in a really hot weather
👍
Does it defend against 7.62?
bruh is for FRAS vest
@@BlerGDNY yo is that a Russian civil war flag in your profile picture? Reminds me of a kornilov regiment flag or something
@@SenkaBandit yes... it is
@@BlerGDNY oh awesome, I love the uniforms from that war and the history
3a vest, it protects against .44 mag from a pistol, but can't take more than that
Press X to doubt
Won't stab rifle rounds though.
That’s what fras or upper level plates are for
Rifle rounds will speed right through those hyper-line panels
@@redlionesv No soft armor will stop rifle rounds. Once you get into rifle armor, there's no more concealing it under clothing. Not unless you want to go around in a rain poncho all the time.
@@kenofken9458I’m aware
Why I mentioned plates
Fras being an afterthought. You can flex it but wouldn’t call it soft .
@@redlionesv FRAS is a cool idea, as was the original Dragon Skin.
I'm not completely sold on whether it really solves important problems for most users. I'm not sure it greatly improves mobility. I think it might be a useful way to create upper thigh and groin protection.
@@kenofken9458 I’m aware of the dragon skin thing
And fras is nothing more than keep your options open. Different armor and carriers for different jobs.
Not everybody needs that set up .
Sometimes thin armor or anti stab 3A will do just fine.
Groin and thigh protection sounds like a good upgrade .
