Thank you for these directions. I ordered an acrylic pattern on line and paid over $20 for it. It did not come with any directions. Now I realize I didn’t need the pattern; I could have just followed your directions. Thank you for being so detailed. The purse is lovely!

I love these little bags! Thank you for the tutorial it explained everything very easily. When I made it I sewed up the curved edge all the way on the outside, and only part way up on the inside, that way you get a couple of pockets.

toni carter : Fuse - N - Shade STABILISATEUR THERMOCOLLANT EXTRA FERME. You can use what you already have you just use interfacing on lining and outer. It should be firm enough. Thank you!

Hi, Just made my 1st bag - easy to do but I have a few questions. What weight interfacing do you recommend? Also, do you cut the interfacing smaller than the fabric? I found it very cumbersome by cutting it the same size as the fabric & the inside doesn't look as neat as your sample - too much bulk. What is the seam allowance, the markings on the mylar pattern are almost 1", yet when watching the video, it looks smaller, maybe 1/2-3/4 " allowance? Thanks for any feedback, I'll look forward to making more of these!!
Peg, I use medium weight on mine. I don't know what she is using, though. She is cutting the interface smaller as well. I also use a 5/8 seam on my sewing.
How do you make that curved edge on the pattern? Is there a pattern that could be printed out for this?
