Of Spears and Pruning Hooks, II

‘Of Spears and Pruning Hooks, II' exhibition was held at Spectrum Project Space in Perth, Western Australia in 2014. Curated by Sue Starcken, all of the artworks included in the exhibition have been crafted from, or have in some way used dismantled fire-arms or weapons confiscated by the WA Police during the course of their duties. 34 West Australian artists have contributed their skills to produce works which are as varied as they are interesting and thought-provoking. This short documentary film gives an overview of the exhibition with commentary by curator, Sue Starcken.
A percentage of the sales of the artworks was donated to the Bright Blue Fund for Sick Children.
