I actually learned without watching myself in the mirror and trying to understand the concept. Because I noticed that when I was trying to watch myself doing it in the mirror I did not get it. I don't know why. I think it's just cerebral. And then when I tried, I started twisting "left to right" and when I saw it didn't work I did "right to left" just thinking of a twist I am doing on my scalp adding hair until the end. I think that flat twisting is easy but you have to practice it by yourself and try as simple as you can instead of overthinking it with the explanations. And if it doesn't work while you are looking at the mirror, try without.
