A gifted teacher, a natural, is this math master,I am 60 years old wanting to learn higher math, to learn physics, this instructor is helping me get there. Thank you, thank the Lord who provides teachers to help us on or way.
3:31 😁 I always want to look into showing off! I usually use that "1 / a^(n - m)" whenever my bottom bases' exponent is larger than my top base exponent and also because I like to be friends with fractions! Speaking of which, do you like working with radicals or rational fraction exponents? Which one do you like the most?
This video is precious . I have watched it and I still keep recommending it to my class mates . I really like your accent . Thanks for your effort 👏👏👏👏
By the way, thanks for this Vid sir! :) .. I spent 12 hours a day reviewing your vids cause i forgot about the basics which totally recked my understanding 😂
When My Teacher Said That We Needed Some Advance Study I Always Go To This Guy He Is So Awesome At This And Also Thanks My Teacher Was Astonished On My Grade Now Because I Found Fort Bend Tutoring Thanks A Lot
This video is really good when compare with other same this type of problems showed By TH-cam classes... really you done good job sir All the best ,,🔊🔊☺☺
It would be cool if you guys made merch for your channel and it would say; "Red Box It!" And also, im inloooove with the channel Mr. Whitt is awesome 😀
Mr Whitt, do you have a video to exlpain the number sets? ie natural, whole, rational, irrational, and irrational. and why is -8 rational? i thought rational numbers were fractions and decimals. and how do you classify the negative square root of 23?
+m sullivan Not at this time M. -8 is rational because it can be rewritten as the ratio or quotient of two integers, namely -8 and 1 or 8 and -1. Negative square root of 23 is an irrational number as it can not be rewritten as the ratio or quotient of two integers.
I have a question problem that was not covered in the video. The question is, (9*square root 3)- ((3^5/2)/5) and the answer being 36/5* square root 3. Could you help me understand what method was used to find the answer?
One question mr Whitt, on question 7a at the end could one multiply with the 4th root of y instead of y^(3/4)? I did it cause it would eliminate the 4th root of y and got ((8x^(3/2)* 4th root of y)/y) is that the right answer?
i pretty much understood everything except for two things in problem 11. I multiplied 3 by the bracket two but found out i was supposed to get rid of three itself, why is that? and the answer i keep getting for that question is 5.49 even though my logs are lined up the exact same way as yours. could it be my calculator settings? it was working up until that moment
Fort Bend Tutoring oops somehow my phone took me to another video, i was talking about the solving rational exponents video that is 29m and 18s. Sorry about that.
+Yassin Gurhan I'm not sure about your question Yassin! It could be several issues. Check out another TH-camrs video on the topic or setup a paid online tutorial at www.TutorMeMath.net.
+DBS Fan Shift both bases to get positive exponents, then subtract the exponents. The base of 2 remains wherever the largest exponent is. You can find this concept here: th-cam.com/video/j-uzACUunrQ/w-d-xo.html
I AM CONVINCED THAT MR.WHIT IS A CHARACTER FROM MARVEL COMICS.ANYTIME YOU CAN GUESS WHAT 5 RAISED TO THE FIFTH POWER AND ASK YOURSELF HOW DID I GET THAT?? SCREAMS BRUCE BANNER OR TONY STARKS GENIUS INTELLECT.
27:04 Guess what! I am also very addicted to math! I would also say "an an exponent"! 27:56 You know right? Not always will we find the value of a base raised to an exponent, especially when the integer exponents are bigger than ±10. 2 to the 3rd power, lucky because it is 3 as the exponent which is pretty small and 2 as the base; and the powers of 2 don't grow big so quickly, even if it is 2 ^ 30, it will seem to still be a 10 digit number. I don't think anyone would want to find the value of something like "9^70"; that is where it is best to leave it as it is. 29:20 , and also, 1 / 64 is equal to 0.015625
Sir, could you please make a video about logarithmic equalities-inequalities and logarithmic functions? :( I'm always watching your video since im having a hard time solving and understanding Math :'( Please Mr. Witt. Cause I feel like im about to fail my math class :(
+Gendy Cay-an Not a dedicated video. They're only mentioned as they're used in several videos. Check out our recommended channels list for a video on the topic.
21:23 No you are not! You aren't doing anything dangerous. Are you talking about memorizing powers of numbers? That is why you are saying that? 23:18 Did you also know that -1/32 is the same thing as "-0.03125"? It is, if you want your answer in decimal notation!
Late for more than 6 years, but the content is still amazing. A true sign of a teacher! THANKS FOR THIS
This guy is a gem. I'm so thankful for chancing on this guy. You're so amazing sir.

What did you use to make the video? Are you recording an iPad or are you using some other tablet? I really like the stylus you're using and the setup!
Mr Whitt, do you have a video to exlpain the number sets? ie natural, whole, rational, irrational, and irrational. and why is -8 rational? i thought rational numbers were fractions and decimals. and how do you classify the negative square root of 23?

Can you make a video about fractional exponents in quadratic form?
+Jazs Garcia This is the video you're requesting. Look at problem numbers 9b onward.
Fort Bend Tutoring your great! ! So are your videos.
you r soooo good witt thanks for all..we love u too#respect
+Abraham Mengistu I have much love and respect 4 all of you Abraham! Thanks 4 the support!
29:32 I am having fun, but you could also convert the "1/64" into a decimal, it is 0.015625; I don't want to miss powers of 5 either.
hi fbt thanks for the vid
it really helps me in my lessons
+Game Mode JM Happy 2 help GMJM!

Happy 2 help! Thanks 4 watching!
I have a question problem that was not covered in the video. The question is, (9*square root 3)- ((3^5/2)/5) and the answer being 36/5* square root 3. Could you help me understand what method was used to find the answer?
+Andy Garcia Yes, setup a paid online tutorial at www.TutorMeMath.net! I'll be happy 2 help you!
One question mr Whitt,
on question 7a
at the end could one multiply with the 4th root of y instead of y^(3/4)?
I did it cause it would eliminate the 4th root of y and got ((8x^(3/2)* 4th root of y)/y) is that the right answer?
+Armin Ajdarpasic No, it would not eliminate the rational exponent in the denominator. You would have y^(1/2) in the denominator.
Do you do any private phone tutoring??? Or can i screen shot some topics to help me and others with In New york?
Private online tutorials are available using FaceTime and Skype. More information at FBTMath.com .
why didn't we change the -32 into positive 32? 23:23
It’s okay to have a negative answer. Just not a negative exponent.
What if the brackets are only at the top and an index is outside the bracket, should I only use the index for just at the top only?
I would have to see the problem. Most types of problems are included in the video.
37:26 If you want to tie it into Algebra, you could say "5G" as in "Geometry" as that is a math related word.
This was fun to watch
Thanks 4 the feedback! 😁👨🏾🏫
Thank you soo much got a 100 on my quiz thanks to you!!
+Lola Carthon That's amazing Lola! Congratulations! :-)
Nice instruction.
Red box it
Done and done!!😃

+Yassin Gurhan This video doesn't have a problem 11. If you're referring to 3a, multiplying 3 by (2/3) equals 2.
Fort Bend Tutoring oops somehow my phone took me to another video, i was talking about the solving rational exponents video that is 29m and 18s. Sorry about that.

love your videos so much! thank you omg lol and you're so entertaining it did look so much cuter the first way lol
+Fivefootnada Did it really? Lol Thanks 4 the support!
yes def, I'm annoyingly particular about how I write my problems lmao but no prob I'm passing so well right now with these vids.
problem 1f ......the square root of b square is the absolute value of b...not b by itself..right?
We’re assuming all expressions are defined and all variables are positive. I should have made that clear. Otherwise, you are correct.
Help Please I Have this Problem 2^-4/3 over 2^-5/6
2^-4/3
---------- = ?
2^-5/6
