THANK YOU! I just got my brand new Aeron chair and didn't realize that I selected the fixed height arm rest option. This video was clutch with showing me how to adjust the height!
I'm not sure on the exact specs of the screws off the top of my head. You can try removing the other one and taking it to a local Ace Hardware or something to see if they can match it though.
Hi Dave - Thank you! Great job on providing very valuable service with a perfect balance of detail and delivery. I just completed this thanks to you. Really appreciate knowing precisely what size bits I'd need before starting, and then best practices incl. blue loctite, which is also my go-to.
My old aeron has an issue where the arms slowly slide down throughout the week. I have the wheel things as tight as I can get them but they still slide. Any fix for that?
@@CrandallOfficeFurniture Hey Crandall - any update on this? I have the same issue with my wheel adjustable chair. The left one constantly slides down despite being on the tightest level
@@kevingov3466 Same. I'm thinking of finding my comfortable position (at top) and inserting a thin piece of wood or metal rod into the clot, cut to a height so it just fits in slot under the arm - then the arm can't fall any further. Haven't done it yet but that's my plan. A velcro strap around the entire arm channel will ensure the added height rod won't fall from channel.
@@CrandallOfficeFurniture i did get it to go, i needed a better tool made it easier to firmly seat and give it more torque. Right tool for the right job, as they say.
I replaced my Costco Mesh chair for this Herman Miller, and I'm disappointed I can't slide arm rest up and down with a click of a button. My Costco chair also moved arm rest back vertically with a push of a button.
I'm sorry could you send your question and maybe send some pictures as to what problem you are having with the chair to Contact@crandalloffice.com thank you!

Great video thanks for the help today!!
No problem 👍
this was a huge help. thanks!
You're welcome!
Can the fixed arms be upgraded to fully adjustable aftermarket?
Thank you, this helped me add arms to my armless Aeron!
awesome video. very good host.
Glad you enjoyed it!
what's the size of the bolt u used?
Great video. The silver screw on the inside of the arms - do you know what type that is? Mine is stripped and I'm going to try and replace it.

Does anyone know the size of the torx bit needed for the remaster chair? The 27 way way to small and still a little wiggle room on the 30.
Very helpful video. I have the adjustable arm chair and the arm is completely loos. The tightening knob will not tighten anymore. Any ideas?
Is this for the lever-style or the wheel-style arms?
@@CrandallOfficeFurniture The wheel style.

Unfortunately not :(

I thought the classic aerons can't be screwed out and when you do, it will get stuck? There's some locking mechanism in it.

Too much locktite! You only want one drop. You applied about four drops worth.
Thank you for watching and your suggestion
