I'm so happy for you and your family. I do feel a little confused about you saying you're going to stop seeking financial independence when it seems you have for the most part achieved that? I like your message, just a lil confused as it seems easier to say when you're already pretty much there?? Maybe you can make a more in depth video on it, great short vid tho. Thanks for sharing with the world!
Erica, thanks for the clarifying question. It was a reminder to pursue Him first and to trust in Him with our needs. There are many different interpretations of Financial Independence, but in this context I was interpreting FI when you have enough wealth where you never have to worry about money again, like the scripture I was referring too - I have not achieved that. I have stopped making that the #1 priority in my heart (to save frivolously and put my faith in money like it’s my security). I want my priority and security to be in Christ. Wealth is not bad, it’s a matter of the heart and what we do with it.
It’s really relying on God at the end of the day. Most times nowadays, having a 9-5 is worse than having your own clients/business because you’re subjected to the requirements that job has for you and often times they go against what the creator wants so, it is encouraged to build your own business or have your own clientele but do it for freedom and to create an impact on others lives rather than just materialistic purposes. Hope this sheds light on what the video was saying further. Cheers everyone!
Be encouraged. Don't ignore the ripples (we make) in the pond. Small business ownership was a key part of my journey to financial independence. But what brings me the most joy though is knowing that I provide solid work opportunities for more than a dozen other households.
I love young Christians, what an inspiring video, thank you! The key word is "pursuing." Seek the kingdom of God first and He will add everything else. You're right... "pursuing" financial independence is a trap. Pursuing God is wise. He gives what is needed. Also, keep in mind that many of your (our) forefathers were financially wealthy (Abraham, David, Job, others) but they depended on and pursued God, not the riches He gave.
Man! I needed to hear that. I've been stressing over how late of a start I'm getting on my financial journey. How am I'm going to buy house? Save for this/that? What can I do as a side hustle to increase my income? How in the world can I save 20% down for home? My mind has just been racing! I'm so inspired by you and Grace and being 35 and not married, I feel so behind! But this was RIGHT on time. I'm so glad God used today to reach me. I LOVE this channel!
Amen!!! I’m in the same boat but I’m even older! Ineeded to hear this msg because my focus has been $ and ways of “making it” so I can relax in 10 years. How easy we forget that God is our treasure and HE WILL PROVIDE!
I don’t feel it is bad to want money and to work towards a goal, but to have it replace your relationship with God or anyone for that matter is when you idolize it, and idolizing anything isn’t good. It said to seek first his kingdom, never to not seek riches, just to not put riches above Him
This video was a tremendous wake up call. A reminder for me really, something I've learned over and over again, that in God's economy, money making is not a priority, that seeking first His Kingdom and His Righteousness is the way to have ALL of our needs met, and that includes financial blessings. This message has pointed me in the right direction in the midst of ton of money making videos I've come across on YT. God bless you!
This video has me saying "hmmmmm" multiple times. I think this is definitely a lesson we need to remind ourselves of over and over. Its a balance to plan for the future and make disciplined financial decisions but also to remember who it all belongs to. Planning to share this with my husband who can at times definitely have a scarcity mindset despite our financial situation bc of how he was raised. Thanks for another inspiring video!
I believe he was not against been Rich. It's not about having alot it's about sharing what you have with others that need it. Share what the Lord has given you don't keep it all to yourself.
When Yeshua (Jesus) tells the rich man to go sell all he has and give it to the poor, then he could come follow him…THAT is the question you need to ask yourself. If asked the same question, would you sell all you had? Where does your hope lie? When I listened to the audiobook by Chris Hogan “Everyday Millionaire,” I got a strange feeling in my spirit I believe. It’s almost like my convictions knew that this path that I was seeking wasn’t necessarily what I was called to do, or maybe my heart was seeking it too much. God loves a generous giver, but you should also leave your children an inheritance. You must balance the two. I still ask myself this question…how much inheritance is a healthy inheritance according to scripture? Are these millions of dollars we are chasing too much..? Are we chasing greed? Would leaving a $5mil inheritance to your children be a blessing or a curse for them?
You don't have to leave all the money to your children. I think Bill Gates said he was only leaving 1 million to his children, the rest is for charity. I would do the same.
I watched a preacher explain on this issue of inheritance and he pointed out that there are a lot of things we can inherit from a parent - love and fear of God, good values etc... These are more important to pass on to children than material things. I live in Africa and I have seen people from extremely poor backgrounds make something out of their lives because they were loaded with good values.
I was so surprised by what you said in this video! Yes! It could be easy to fall into the trap of acting like you have all the answers or putting out whatever content gets clicks. I’m glad you are leaving room for God to direct you and reading all these positive comments encouraged me! I’m in a different stage of life, my husband and I recently let God lead us in a move, home sale and purchase. It was an unusual path and, being empty nesters, was a little scary, but God has taken good care of us. And the experience of both of us waiting on His voice together has been priceless.
Thank you for sharing this with me. For years, I was looked down on for not having what others have and for not having attained the material possessions that the world believes makes you " a mature adult ". You know the drill, graduate, get a job that pays well, a car, a house, spouse and kids . Worrying about and putting myself down for not having those tbings led me to depression and to living locked in fear of what the future holds for someone like me . I have no skills in any proffession, just a series of jobs that tanked because the companies either went out of business, or hired more folks than they needed . Thank you for helping me see a different way to look at my life . I REALLY needed this .
im 42 and found myself praying for retirement. wanting money, real estate, stocks, etc. but God let me know what will that stuff do for you, using all of your time in pursuit of these things and you die without me? it lifts a BURDEN off your shoulders when God lets you know to seek him FIRST, and everything else will be taken care of. it has shifted my state of mind and gives you rest.
Oh my dear. After reading so many comments from this blog, i see many of your followers have the same mind; love God: love others! I too am on a financial independence journey. I won’t retire early (57 now and 10 years to retirement) but I want FI to do GREAT things in the kingdom. I can’t bless others if I have barely enough!!! What the rich man failed to see is “to whom much is given, much is required!” (I think that’s right 😂) instead of building a bigger barn, he should have set up a donation line and THEN he would have had to build a bigger barn for all the donations he would give away. You are doing a great work and God will bless you and your family for it! Seek the kingdom…!
That was a good reminder. You are so right, being rich is not a sin it’s the love of money that is sinful. God makes all things possible . May God continue to bless you and your family with prosperity!
Great questions to ask…it is amazing how scripture changes lives and CONTINUES to change our lives, even though we have read the same passage before. Luke 12 is awesome! Great video thanks for sharing!
Powerful Message! I’m so glad you posted this video. Matthew 6:33, tells us; But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Seeking God and what He wants is Key! Thank you for being a Blessing to the Body Of Christ!
@@gojereme You & your wife is in preparation for greater Ministry in The Kingdom Of God. Continue to seek Him, revelation and knowledge will flow like a river! Remember the scripture,” John 15:7-8, 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. Be encouraged in the Lord. He will lead and guide you. Blessings to You & Your Family!🙏🏽
U're not hoarding. And u're already seeking God first. U're simply being FAITHFUL with what he's given you which is why he is multipying it 4 u. God is the 1 blessing you, enjoy it. 🙏🏽
Excellent reminder. Thank you. I'm 57 and realize I have been spending too much effort preparing for retirement. Trying to make up for years of not preparing. Excellent my friend
Perfect word from the Lord. I had setbacks trusting God, wilderness experiences so I could not do a lot of money manoeuvring. Sometimes the enemy wants me to feel that I am "behind". However I remind myself that Almighty God is restorer of years. He is a provider. Having gone through the wilderness with Jesus allows me to trust Him with everything and it broke the spirit of fear from me. Love this word Jereme. God bless you.
FI is not about material possessions. Its about not spending all your hours in a job that makes you miserable. Time that could be spent doing Gods work
I needed to hear this! You’re right, we have to seek God and His Word. Seeking Financial independence can be a set up. I’m was so busy trying to have multiple streams of income out of fear
Stressing about it can cause us anx and worry, like Jesus said. But if you're persistent and continue to live out baby steps you get there, putting God first. He has our future planned, we'll just take it a day at a time. It feels a lot better as we make progress though. Im in baby step 6, and can sense what you're sharing brother. Blessings 🙏
Thank you for sharing your journey Jereme. I can relate on everything you’ve spoken. At times I feel frustrated because I don’t know where and how to start. I’m currently reading Luke so I find it ironic that your video is about a verse in Luke. That’s what you call confirmation! I believe the Lord has planted this seed in me and only He can make it flourish. You’re right trust and lean on Him. God bless you and your beautiful family.
I also got that this man was living way above his means, he wanted more so he grew more crops but couldn’t support that and turned his heart toward money in order to sustain that desire for more, instead of turning his heart toward YAH (God) and having complete love/trust that his sustenance would come completely from him.
Thank you. You should definitely think about why you have to make more money and what you want to do with the money you do earn. A simple basic life is what you seem to be pursuing and that will indeed lead to happiness. Time with your family is good and providing for your family is also good, just do not get greedy where the pursuit of money is the end all be all. God will make sure you live well when these things are understood. Another TH-camr is in Hawaii and her channel is "Malama Life" and she and her husband have found happiness in a simple life, not joining the rat race, but stepping back from it. Just listening to her calm, soft voice is relaxing.
You are half way right...but there is the other side of the coin most financial independent people don't depend on God and live for themselves they forget God...they still say they Love God but don't follow Him.
You are missing my point. If you are not surrendered to God you are not financially independent but a slave to the world. On the other hand, to not be financially independent is to be dependant od other people and not God. You need to take all of what scripture says about wealth and money into account. Not cherry puck to support what could be a wrong idea.
I love when Jesus calls me out. I was worrying about overspending money for this Christmas when I should not be worried at all. God has got me and He knows what I need therefore the Holy Spirit would guide me accordingly. Thank you for this video, you gained a subscriber.
Thank you for your take of not pursuing "Financial Independence" in the world but Total dependence to the L-rd and something in my heart wanted me to add so that the message in your video will not go in vain: Psalm 17:14 "with your hand, Adonai, from human beings, from people whose portion in life is this world. You fill their stomachs with your treasure, their children will be satisfied too and will leave their wealth to their little one." CJB - This particular verse stated that we also have to prepare ourselves & next generation aside from Total dependence to the L-rd because not only Yahovah has given us the ability to produce wealth based on the talents that He has given us but also that He reminded us to prepare due our own mortality and the changes of this dying world.
Thank you brother. I’ve had this convo of financial independence and dependence. I have begun to encourage people to seek financial freedom. Freedom to serve God’s calling on our lives and the freedom to move, not held down by circumstances or obligations. We were called to be in debt to no man. Romans 6:22 we are called to be slaves to God and those fruits will set us apart bringing glory to God and building towards eternal life.
Acquiring wealth and financial independence on its own isn’t necessarily bad. In some ways it’s even prudent. Just like Jesus teaches us to have faith and that God will provide, the authors of the Proverbs also provide lessons about saving money for harder times, mostly referring to working to produce food for the future rather than money. Same concept either way. Also, the story of how Joseph saved Egypt from the famine by storing up extra food from the years of plenty to distribute during the years of famine is also a lesson on how saving money and building wealth are important things to do. The real issue of course is whether you value that money and wealth more than you value God and the mission of the Church: to preach the Gospel and serve the needs of the community.
💯%!!! Thank you for this. The timing of me seeing this video is impeccable, God is always working and he used this to speak to me today. Blessings to you and your family 💜✝️
Hi. I’m a Buddhist not a Christian. What you said is so true. Be aware of and set your intention in everything you do. You will find both peace and fulfillment.
Congrats on 20k subs! Really good topic, I have been dealing with this allot lately, where I used to listen to teachings when I showered I listen to personal finance/ entrepreneur stuff now, since getting married and having kids I find myself obsessed with providing and getting to financial independence and thinking in my mind “ I know I’ve grown apart form The Lord but when things slow down and money goals are reached I will have the time and energy to grow again” I was thinking of that today before I saw this video and I felt this in my spirit “ i live in the most blessed time and country in the history of the world if I can’t make time for God when I’m hustling I’m not gonna make time when i reach financial independence and I have gotten convicted at the total fixation and meditation of financial independence. Life is miserable outside of unity with The Lord. Great vid
I just saw this comment! Thanks so much. And your story resonates with me because I thought the same way. It's a daily battle with our flesh. I have to give it all to God daily. You are absolutely right about life is miserable without Jesus! Thanks for your comment, Jkrichbaum!
This comment right here! This the one… I love it and can relate on the thought process as well but this comment and video put me in my place! I cannot ignore the signs that God sent you both to give me. Thank you so much The truth will set me free
Beautiful video and very timely. When I am grateful for everything That happens throughout the day and for wisdom my abundance grows. But every once in a while I fall into worrying about retirement, etc. The more I grow my faith and let go of what I was taught about money the better off I am. Some days I really struggle but it’s getting easier. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! When I focus on God I feel peace, when I focus on money i feel stressed and like it will never be enough. Thank you for reminding me that this materialistic world is not the goal and the goal is not to have more and more as all that will end up trash or someone else’s when you die. Versus when you work to make your life meaningful and help others with whatever you have then you truly are Rich in the eyes of God and who’s eyes are more important than his? Versus him seeing all the stuff we accumulated just for ourselves. Also you are right this world is always trying to give us a message different from God and the world wants us to worry about money and pursue it, vs God says don’t worry about money, pursue me and my kingdom. Thank you for the reminder, I needed it :)
Well said! It's so good to check our intentions. However, when I think of financial independence, just in the term, not necessarily in the movement (of working so hard to retire early that you have no extra money or time to give others...) I think of Romans 13:8 where it says to owe no man anything... and if we can get to a point in our life where we are not bound by debt... it frees up our mind, our time, our money in a way that we can more freely give. If a person is driven to make money just to own the next nice thing and best thing, and be at the top of the social ladder, maybe one should check their heart. But if one has a gift for business and turning their one talent into ten, so to speak... and they have a heart of giving and helping others, what a huge blessing these people are! They are rather rare, as money has a tendency to make people proud and selfish, but these people do exist! I've met them, and they give of their money and things selflessly, and they are a huge asset to God's kingdom!
Such a beautiful message-God bless you brother!!!! I had thought at first when you'd said you'd retired that it wasn't really compatible with 2 Thess 3:10, but then I saw that you do continue to work and that in the other time you're dedicated to serving the Lord (which is work-Luke 10:7, 1 Timothy 5:18). This new revelation that you've had is awesome as well! God had to strip me a bit of my finances to teach me to depend on Him. While it was terrifying, I know He was right to do it. And when I prayed for Him to not let me be in debt, He answered! I still struggle with exactly how to be a good steward, so please pray for me in this. God bless you and your beautiful family! (Oh also, I'm remembering you talking about Grace's dad and how he's experienced the blessing of giving/not hoarding-so inspiring!)
I’m baffled when we interpret the scriptures to our own understanding. God also said to life a life of abundance having money or seeking wealth is a way also to serve and honor God in that manner. Your understanding baffles me.
I don't think that was the emphasis of his message. It was more about what is treasured most in your heart (Matthew 6:21). We must never allow the gifts to overshadow the giver. A sermon by Charles Spurgeon entitled 'Wait thou only upon God' might provide some more insight into this thought process.
I stumbled upon your channel while I was browsing for FIRE videos. Thank you for sharing this video, it reminded me that we can only rest when our hearts are with the Lord.
But should we be hoarding assets in that way? Shouldn’t we be trying to help our brothers and sisters in need instead? I def wanted to start my FIRE journey but this def has be second guessing 😬
@imtella ASMR "But should we be hoarding assets in that way? Shouldn’t we be trying to help our brothers and sisters in need instead? I def wanted to start my FIRE journey but this def has be second guessing 😬" You cannot help others if you're not in position. There are scriptures that tells us to enjoy the fruits of our labor, and to work hard so we may have something to distribute to those in need. There is no shame in having wealth. Just make sure your spiritual needs are met...
Thank you for this spirit filled message. I was so confused about this same topic. Thinking of and trying many methods to achieve "financial success" whatever that is. Every time I bought a new course I could never finish it. I would loose excitement and the loads of energy to keep going. Then it hit me, God is trying to tell me something. To seek Him first in all things. And that's my path now and I'm loving it!!!
The verse that hit me in the face was Matt. 6:19- "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doeth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:" I think to myself what things is He talking about: a home, a car, fancy clothes. None of these things I own. I had a car, but I sold it. There has to be a reason why Jesus said these things. Our obligation is to follow what He taught.
I believe regardless you are pursuing financial independence or not pursuing financial independence. Rich or poor. Lack or much. It is a matter of heart. It is not the financial independence but it is our love towards God that should come first. Great video and I have just subscribed to your channel.
Great, being successful in God’s eyes starts by getting the heart right. Trusting in him and not in money. That said the Bible is full of advice how to be a good steward of money, living in blessing by putting money to good use and being generous. I also like how Paul was free and independent by supporting himself financially. With a lot of money you can do many good things. God approves when we multiply the talents.
P raise the lord that you have understand this deep truth brother yet its only when we love God with all our heart mind and soul that we will be able to live his way
Love this. Encouraged me to open up and read the actual passage. Jesus goes on to say in Luke 12:25-26, “And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest?” Such a needed reminder that God Himself states adding an hour to our lives is a SMALL thing, which leads us to ask why are we so worried about everything else. Thanks again!
Thank you for sharing this 💖 This’s a beautiful reminder to every believer in Jesus Christ So we don’t get lost, like Tyler Perry saying if God put in your heart a dream and you know from Him you follow the light in you Christ . So it’s not loving money it’s following God first and what He said to us personally to do Yes the rich man should give the extra to whoever needs it, God bless us not to do a blessing club, but to give to others . God bless you
Hmm I always thought that this scripture was a warning to not depend on oneself. Like you mention, God is in control so we shouldn't worry. The guy didn't realize that all he did would be gone in a moment. He wasn't depending or looking to God but just himself. Everything we have, even our time and life are Gods. We are stewards. I wish I could keep that in mind but my days are so full of putting out fires and surviving it is hard. I like that your content helps me get back into the right frame and thinking. I found your free download so need to contemplate what it teaches. Thanks for putting this out there.
As a King the Lord has to make sure his citizens has wealth like He does. That's why he wants us to seek his Kingdom first and his Righteousness. Because we are representing him. Yet we do have priciples and laws we must abide by found in the word. Blessings fam.
Wow, this video is so good! I agree that sometimes the motivations fit ‘financial freedom’ can be contrary to a mindset of trusting in God. BUT with that said, I’ve heard people scoff at budgets and savings in the name of trusting God and I do think there is a line. God also calls us to be stewards.
Exactly. I've seen both too! I've leaned more towards the financial freedom mindset just because I didn't grow up with parents who budget/saved and I wanted to be better with money. But God put me in check once I started searching the Bible for financial answers instead of secular sources.
i definitely get where you're coming from. i think its like the locking your door analogy. We depend on God for protection, but we still lock our doors. I think you can still pursue financial independence but don't forget sharing and giving and most of all DON'T PUT YOUR TRUST on the money you have saved up. Understand that HE is still the giver of life and health and that you live daily on HIS grace and mercy. Don't let your resources and pursuit for financial independence become your god.
Amen to that. That's our right as Kingdom citizens(believers). He is our King and owns everything anyways so focusing on Him by default He gives you your heart desires...that's how Kings and Kingdoms are measured in wealth. Keep the faith and may the Journey to pouring your purpose thrive till the very end. 👍
Great message. I’m not a traditional Christian but this message resonates. The temptation is strong to serve myself. Serve others through our natural God given talents and the rest will take care of itself. Keep up this type of content and share what’s on your mind!
Before you take on financial freedom you have to check your heart. I want to be financially free to have more time for him, to spend more time with my family to enjoy life, most importantly give back. My family has been through crippling debt and financial frustrations... I saw my parents go through it, so I will never go through it. I need to be a kingdom financier!! It’s really about the heart. Talk to God.
Oh this is really really good. I’ve been struggling with this same concept. It’s amazing how so many are pointing more and more to “self” but God always directs us more and more to Christ.
Would like to thank you for sharing that with us..We often worry about tomorrow. In Mathew 6:31-33 says "So do not start worrying:where will my food come from?or my drink?or my clothes?(These are the things that pagans are always concerned about)Your father in heaven knows that you need all these things.Instead be concerned above everything else with the kingdom of God and with what he requires of you,and he will provide you with all these things..Rely on him and keep.him first
Yes a good point. I see God as being generally against hoarding resources (eg James 5:3). Although Joseph in Egypt shows us that God can direct and protect us from periods of lack by hoarding. So as always the bible is fluid. As you also mention, God doesn't want us to be independent of Him which is so hard for us westerners to swallow because we are taught independence from birth. Paul also says, "if you can gain your freedom then do so", which I think many of us have taken to mean financial independence. However. If being an employee is like being a slave, then being free is being a business owner. More faith, more risk, more responsibility and yes more freedom. So our freedom should not make us independent from God, it should allow us to do more and take greater risk and trust God more! Final thought, Proverbs says not to be idle, so whatever we're doing we should be contributing to society. Even a 90yr old can be making youtube video's and sharing their wisdom (prob with help)!
Really needed to hear that.. Thank you.. Im a muslim, and there is so much similarity in Islam and Christian, but the media like to show the differences more.
Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the light, no one can come to the father except through him. No one enters heaven without Jesus. I have done a lot of research on Islam and Christianity and it all boils down to the believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, was buried, descended into hell , and resurrected on the 3rd day. This is were the line is drawn. Let’s discuss more,we could learn a thing or two from each other.❤️
@@leeashia6046 Hey.. I respect you believe, I respect jesus and the bible.. But I have faith in my religion.. I dont want to debate and create hatred among each other... I love all the human beings.. Because we all are the sons of Adam, no matter how much differences we have.
Thanks for sharing! It is a daily struggle and I have personally struggled with needs and wants since I have tried to follow the word and live a life in Christ. You are right about the fact that we are not to worry but at the same time we are called to be good stewards of the blessings that we have. I think at the end of the day its just hard to be human. God bless!
Excellent video. I have struggled with this as a business owner. Wanting to be completely dependent on God, and trust Him to provide, and at the same time work hard at this business that He has given me. When I realized my trust was in myself, and the money I make/set aside, etc. my first response was to pull back and not work so hard, but I’m doing that, I was still trusting in MY ability to navigate things. Something I have to continually take to God.
Wow that’s a really great point. I totally resonate with that. I’ve done that too! Both ways would be considered a form of pride because I’m “trying to figure” what’s best for me when I should just take it and give it to Lord in the first place. Thanks for your comment! :)
Our prophet said “do you know who is bankrupt!? It’s not who doesn’t have money or wealth, but who comes in the day of judgment with mountains of good deeds but he have badmouthed this, witnessed (a lie) against that, and stole from these. so this takes from his mountain and that takes from his mountain and those takes also from his mountain till he ends up with nothing (ie everyone will be held accountable for his actions and will pay out of his deeds as a debt)🙏🏻
When we seek to build our own kingdom we are usually anxious. When we seek to build God’s kingdom we move with a sense of urgency. God calls us to die to ourselves. We aren’t to conform to the worlds standard of degree, career, house. We are to obey and allow God to transform our thinking then we’ll know His good and perfect will for us. Tithing keeps us dependent on God. Dying to ourselves keeps us dependent on God. We should strive for DEPENDENCE because we can do NO thing apart from God
Your work serves a greater purpose than you. Love that, David.

I don’t feel it is bad to want money and to work towards a goal, but to have it replace your relationship with God or anyone for that matter is when you idolize it, and idolizing anything isn’t good. It said to seek first his kingdom, never to not seek riches, just to not put riches above Him
100% You got it Kaden!
Happy that people read the word and allow Hily Spirit to reveal it...we as Christians are called to be dependent on God and be self less Amen!
Definitely have to remember that contentment and dependance on Jesus is not a destination, but a way of life. Thanks Stefanie!
great comment
hmmmmmmmm !!
I believe he was not against been Rich. It's not about having alot it's about sharing what you have with others that need it. Share what the Lord has given you don't keep it all to yourself.
You're right. Jesus is definitely not against anyone being rich. Money is a tool - you can do bad or great things with it!
@@gojereme So correct
Yes, share your blessings with others.
Fortunately with this channel, you're helping people to escape financial slavery while also showing them how to be good stewards of God's gifts.
Very true, I can testify.
Really appreciate that, David. All for His glory!

I think having money is Wise too because you can do so many good things with it. God gives us Wisdom too.
Totally, Rose! How you manage what God's given you is what truly matters.
That was a good reminder. You are so right, being rich is not a sin it’s the love of money that is sinful. God makes all things possible . May God continue to bless you and your family with prosperity!
And wisdom.
Exactly, Cynthia! God bless you as well :)

Excellent reminder. Thank you. I'm 57 and realize I have been spending too much effort preparing for retirement. Trying to make up for years of not preparing. Excellent my friend
Thank you! This video spoke to me so much! God’s perfect timing! 🙏🏽
Time that could be spent doing Gods work
I agree.
I love this! 💕
Agree. There's a sense of freedom to be & do what lights your soul on fire through Gods plan. 🙏🏾
I totally agree! I've said the same thing. And to help those who are in need.
As a Christian that is very passionate about pursuing FIRE,, this was great and helpful to hear. Thanks and keep spreading the good news
Thanks for the reminder and the video. I'm going to re-read Luke 12 now
I needed to hear this!
Hey Stephanie! Thanks for watching! You mentioned you feel frustrated and don’t know where to start. In regards to what exactly?
I also got that this man was living way above his means, he wanted more so he grew more crops but couldn’t support that and turned his heart toward money in order to sustain that desire for more, instead of turning his heart toward YAH (God) and having complete love/trust that his sustenance would come completely from him.
Yes, Kawehi! Instead of turning his heart toward God, he turned toward more crops/money!
Amen, brother. Thanks for sharing this. Indeed, God calls us to depend on Him alone, which can be difficult because the flesh always cries out.
Financial independence is about being able to give generously.
2 thessalonians:3. Keep working. Nobody owes you a living.
I’m loving seeing my brothers and sisters taking over the TH-cam !!! Praise be to god !!
This mindset+proper stewardship over the finances God blessed you with= wealth right there!
Yes indeed, ‘Search me O God, and know my heart’.
I love when Jesus calls me out. I was worrying about overspending money for this Christmas when I should not be worried at all. God has got me and He knows what I need therefore the Holy Spirit would guide me accordingly. Thank you for this video, you gained a subscriber.
Thank you for your take of not pursuing "Financial Independence" in the world but Total dependence to the L-rd and something in my heart wanted me to add so that the message in your video will not go in vain:
Psalm 17:14 "with your hand, Adonai, from human beings, from people whose portion in life is this world. You fill their stomachs with your treasure, their children will be satisfied too and will leave their wealth to their little one." CJB
- This particular verse stated that we also have to prepare ourselves & next generation aside from Total dependence to the L-rd because not only Yahovah has given us the ability to produce wealth based on the talents that He has given us but also that He reminded us to prepare due our own mortality and the changes of this dying world.
So great to see young people seeking and following the Lord! Rely on the Lord, be smart with money HE provides for you.

The world ask us to be self reliant and self sufficient, but God asks us to rely on Him and that His grace is sufficient.
I agree. Serving and honoring and focusing on God will give you more satisfaction than any amount of money. Great video.
Wow lightbulb 💡 moment! Never saw it that way! It’s so true! Thank you Jesus for your Word! Thank you for sharing.

Finally, somebody said it! Thanks for sharing, bro.
I’ll pray for you sister ❤️
@@daybydaywithmicah6932 Thank you!

FI is not about getting rich or material possessions but about freedom of choice. I think Jesus would be OK with that.
But should we be hoarding assets in that way? Shouldn’t we be trying to help our brothers and sisters in need instead? I def wanted to start my FIRE journey but this def has be second guessing 😬

"But should we be hoarding assets in that way? Shouldn’t we be trying to help our brothers and sisters in need instead? I def wanted to start my FIRE journey but this def has be second guessing 😬"
You cannot help others if you're not in position.
My personal opinion...Dave Ramsey has a good philosophy. His course is based off biblical principles and it allows you to be bold and have peace.
P raise the lord that you have understand this deep truth brother yet its only when we love God with all our heart mind and soul that we will be able to live his way
Thank you Jereme. I needed that today.

This’s a beautiful reminder to every believer in Jesus Christ
So we don’t get lost, like Tyler Perry saying if God put in your heart a dream and you know from Him you follow the light in you Christ . So it’s not loving money it’s following God first and what He said to us personally to do
Yes the rich man should give the extra to whoever needs it, God bless us not to do a blessing club, but to give to others .

'preciate you brother 🙏🏽 this spoke to me!
Exactly!
Thank you for sharing this. It gives me a different perspective and helps me remember what is most important in this life.
Awesome Laura! Glad it helped :)
100% agree, Mary!
Would like to thank you for sharing that with us..We often worry about tomorrow. In Mathew 6:31-33 says "So do not start worrying:where will my food come from?or my drink?or my clothes?(These are the things that pagans are always concerned about)Your father in heaven knows that you need all these things.Instead be concerned above everything else with the kingdom of God and with what he requires of you,and he will provide you with all these things..Rely on him and keep.him first
Amen❣️ Thankyou for sharing
100% - You totally get it, Rob! Freedom should not make us independent from God - love that!

God bless!
Definitely is a daily struggle. Luke 9:23 - We must die to our flesh/desires daily and follow him.
Solid! Thanks for sharing!
Wow, this is great advice! Thank you!
Awesome message. Thank you
Pastor Jereme!! Preach 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
So true. Pastor Craig Hill talks a lot about Sparrow faith. Do not worry. The sparrows don't worry, the provision will come as it will for us!
Thanks for the reminder 💛
Thank you ! Sir for sharing soul food. ❤
Don’t believe in God, but still her to support brother! My goal is to have enough cash my family has everything they need and are healthy!
Good stuff brother. We think in terms of assets and liabilities, but God wants us to think in terms of resources for His kingdom.
Wow this came at the perfect time. Thank you for this I needed to hear that !
Yes, same ❤️ btw you have a beautiful name! Have a blessed day 😊
Well said my brother.
Thank you I needed to hear this. I pray that our Lord Jesus Christ by his Grace would keep our hearts and eyes on him alone!
Never invest your trust in anyone or anything over God. Being debt free is certainly a good thing, just don't make an idol out of it.
